Push-Down Block Sequence

form_pattern_push_down_elbow

The push-down block sequence is as follows:

1)Rotate forward into a right forward bow with a left push-down block, while simultaneously retracting your right arm to a right chambered position
2a)Immediately, rotate forward into a right front twist, while allowing your left arm to cock across your body
2b)Step through forward into a left neutral bow with a left, hammering, outward, overhead elbow, at face level
2c)Without any loss of motion, settle into the left neutral bow with a left, hammering, overhead claw, at face level
3)Repeat the sequence on the opposite side (toward 1:30H)
4)Repeat the sequence on the opposite side (toward 1:30H)

The obvious information derived from this sequence is:

it advances

it utilizes the forward bow, twist, and neutral bow stances

it demonstrates execution with the rear weapon (defensively)

it demonstrates execution with the front weapon (offensively)

it demonstrates in-place stance rotation

it shows both sides of the sequence (opposites)

the three sides of the sequence are execution without change in Point of Reference

Analyzing this sequence further exposes the following information:

it demonstrates rotation then distance - forward

it steps onto a minor angle (instead of a major angle) - advancing

it introduces a new foot maneuver - twist through (forward)

Push-down Block Specific Information

The obvious information derived from the Push-down is:

it is defensive

it emphasizes the power principle of gravitational marriage

it uses the hammering Method of Execution

it is executed on a linear path of travel (vertically)

Analyzing this maneuver further exposes the following information:

the stance rotation enhances the execution of the block

Stance Rotation Specific Information

The obvious information derived from the rotation is:

the maneuver positions the intended next weapon

Analyzing this maneuver further exposes the following information:

it completes rotation without distance

Outward, Overhead Elbow Specific Information

The obvious information derived from the Elbow is:

it is offensive

it is executed to mid range

it emphasizes the power principle of gravitational marriage

it uses the round-housing Method of Execution (vertically)

it is executed on a circular line of travel (vertically)

Analyzing this maneuver further exposes the following information:

the foot maneuver (step) demonstrates distance without rotation

the foot maneuver (step) enhances the execution of the strike

Overhead, Heel-palm Specific Information

The obvious information derived from the Heel-palm is:

it is offensive

it is executed to mid range

it emphasizes the power principle of gravitation marriage

it uses the round-housing Method of Execution (vertically)

it is executed on a circular line of travel (vertically)

Analyzing this maneuver further exposes the following information:

it demonstrates the opposite (vertical) direction to the Downward Block Sequence of Short Form Two (horizontal)
