Forward Bow

a)proper alignments:
i)width = toe/heel
ii)depth = heel/knee
iii)height = slight bend of front knee - rear leg straight

 

b)proper rotation:
i)feet = front foot forward at 45 degree angle - rear foot directly forward
ii)body = directly forward

 

c)proper weight distribution:
i)60% / 40%

 

d)proper positioning:
i)back vertical

Form Specific

a)improper positioning:
i)no full rotation forward - on snapping strikes
ii)not maintaining both feet flat

Comments

a)Common errors:
i)not having front foot point forward at 45 degree angle
ii)not having rear foot point directly forward
iii)not having the proper width (toe / heel alignment) or depth (heel / knee alignment)
iv)uneven weight distribution (60% / 40%)
v)not keeping the back up straight
vi)not keeping the rear foot flat
vii)not rotating the body to point directly forward (either under rotating or over rotating)
