First, because it is the second long form of the American Kenpo system. Short Form One is the first form of the system, but is also the first SHORT form of the system. Long Form Two is basically the extension to Short Form Two, and thus shares it's numerical designation.
Second, because of it's timing. The "one's" demonstrate one-in-one timing, whereas the "two's" demonstrate two-in-one timing - meaning there are two upper body actions for every single lower body action.
Third, because it is a long form. In simple terms Long Form Two builds upon Short Form Two. By this one can deduce that Long Form Two includes the basic information presented in Short Form Two and more. For a more comprehensive explanation of this see the "Understanding Long Form Two" section of this book.
