The isolation sequence is as follows:
1) | Step the left foot backward into a modified, right, transitory twist, and without any loss of motion, immediately rotate into a horse stance with a right, inward, horizontal, elbow sandwich, at jaw level |
2) | Cock both arms across the body at chest level, palms down. Immediately, reverse the path of the previous moves, executing double, thrusting outward elbows |
3) | Execute a left upward elbow with a right backward elbow |
An analysis of this sequence exposes the following information:
•the sequence uses two-in-one timing
•it introduces double cocking of weapons
•the isolation fills in missing information of the next form (Short Form Three)
•the isolation demonstrates the opposite tip (elbow) the weapons (punches) demonstrated in the isolation of Long Form One
An analysis of this maneuver exposes the following information:
•the sandwiching hand does not travel in a path that enhances the sandwiching maneuver
•the foot maneuver is executed to the opposite (backward) direction to the step (forward) into the isolation of Long Form One
•the foot maneuver demonstrates distance then rotation into the isolation stance - in contrast to the step with rotation maneuver of Long Form One
An analysis of this maneuver exposes the following information:
•the previous maneuver (double cocking) allows for full path of travel
•it demonstrates the reverse line of travel of the 9:00 and 3:00 straight punches of the isolation of Long Form One
•it demonstrates the double maneuver to the (single) outward elbow of Long Form One
An analysis of this maneuver exposes the following information:
•the upward elbow demonstrates the opposite (bottom half) of the circle previously demonstrated in the Push-down / Inward Overhead Elbow Sequences (top half)
•the upward elbow demonstrates the short range to the upper-cuts in the isolation of Long Form One
•the back elbow has an extremely similar appearance to the chamber motion, but has a different intent
•the back elbow demonstrates the reverse line to the 12:00 straight punches in the isolation of Long Form One
