What are 'isolations' and why are they important?

Isolation moves are another form of call-out or highlighted maneuvers. They are designed to visually and physically isolate specific maneuvers such that they stand out in a form. The purpose of this is to draw attention to the maneuvers, so that the initiated practitioner is subtly directed to analyze these maneuvers further for the purpose of exposing their true meaning in the form.

An isolation maneuver shows one or more of the following:

i) previews of things to come

ii) new information

iii) missing information

From this, the practitioner can filter their analysis of the isolation maneuvers to more quickly determine there true meaning in the form.
