Destructive Fans

This variation is generally considered non-destructive.

The first sweep punch of the technique is varied by also executing it with a reverse overhead claw. This variation is accomplished by executing the initial sweep of the technique (#2) with an overhead claw to the rear, instead of bringing the hand to chamber. This variation basically comes down to an argument of an emphasis on realism (stylized) over design (idealized).

Rationale For

The rationale for this variation is to be more realistic in execution and more in-line with the execution outside of the form.

Rationale Against

The rationale against this variation is that it demonstrates a purposely hidden maneuver of the form. This maneuver is one of a few maneuvers that are purposely modified from their execution outside the form, and executing it departs from this intent.
