Form Close

This variation is generally considered destructive.

Which side should the final hand over fist be positioned to - left or right. This variation is accomplished by maneuvering the left over right hand positioning to the left shoulder, instead of the right shoulder. This variation basically comes down to an argument of convenience over design and theme.

Rationale For

The rationale for this variation is that is easier and more natural to position the hands over the left shoulder and it is the opposite side to the close of Form Four.

Rationale Against

The rationale against this variation is that a major theme of this form is "out of position" and this closing maneuver is the final implementation of that theme. Altering sides detracts from this theme and the design of the form.
