Reversing Circles (left side)

1a)

Direct your attention 90-degrees (counter-clockwise horizontally) to your left (toward right-rear-flank) as you left step forward (toward right-rear-flank) into a left neutral bow facing forward (toward right-rear-flank) with a left downward (hammering) / right inward (thrusting) universal block (toward right-rear-flank).

Visualization:

The following upper body sequence (1b-2) creates an overlapping (diagonally-downward) vertical figure 8, relatively perpendicular to and in front of the body.

Shift (counter-clockwise horizontally) into a left forward bow facing forward (toward right-rear-flank) with a right, hammering, forward and diagonally-downward, hand-sword (toward lower-right-rear-flank) to hip height, palm pointing downward (toward down) and fingers pointing to the left (toward right-front-flank), simultaneously with a left upward parry to upper head height, palm pointing upward (toward up) and fingers pointing to the right (toward left-rear-flank).

2)

Shift (clockwise horizontally) back into a left neutral bow facing forward (toward right-rear-flank) with a left, hammering, forward and diagonally-downward, hand-sword (toward lower-right-rear-flank) to hip height, palm pointing downward (toward down) and fingers pointing to the right (toward left-rear-flank), simultaneously with a right upward parry to upper head height, palm pointing upward (toward up) and fingers pointing to the left (toward right-front-flank).
