Are all the self-defense techniques in Form Four done on both sides?

The short answer to this question is, yes. All the self-defense techniques of Form Four are demonstrated on both side. But this is not the full answer.

If one were to examine the form, they would find that Isolation Sequence #2 does not follow this trend. Isolation Sequence #2 is only done on one side. This brings up the question as to why this is so. The reason for this is that basically this isolation has both sides built into it; by the fact that the isolation sequence is done on both sides simultaneously (e.g. all doubles). Thus, negating the requirement for an execution on both sides.
