Draw-in

Definition(s):

A Strategic Ploy specifically designed to lure the opponent(s) into your Critical Distance for the purpose of enabling proper Contact Penetration of your offensive maneuvers and methods.

Comments:

From a perspective of options, you can Close the Gap on your opponent(s), let the opponent(s) Close the Gap on you, or do a combination of both. In this instance, you lure the opponent(s) to come to you.

Draw-in differs from Close the Gap in that Close the Gap is non-specific as to which participant(s) is/are involved in the Closing of the Gap.

Draw-in refers to closing distance to Within Contact - specifically to at least Contact Penetration range. See Stages of Range for more information on this subject.
