Any force that tends to pull an object towards the center of an Axis of Rotation. |

Centripetal Force can be created by anything that is closer to (or at) the center of rotation than the outer most point and is pulling against the outer most point.
Knowledge of this force is especially important when dealing with Man-made Weapons that have chains or strings connecting two or more pieces of the weapon - such as a nunchuck or mace. |
