Centrifugal Force

The tendency of an object to travel in a straight lineand away from the center of an Axis of Rotation.

Comments:

 

Centrifugal Force is based upon Newton's first law of motion - which states:

Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.

 

Knowledge of this law of motion is helpful in understanding and applying Economy of Motion and economy of energy.

A rock on a string spun in a circle, when released will depart on a straight line.
