Ax (Kick)

A distinct type of kicking strike which is physically distinguishable by striking downward on a linear path.

Comments:

This kick is almost always executed with the leg nearly fully extended.

This kick almost always has the contact point as the heel of the foot, but this are not a requirements.

This kick is most often executed in sparring situations - or while on the ground (in combat situations).

This kick is often confused with the crescent kick, due to a similar (but distinct) form of execution. The major difference being that this kick is vertically downward and linear and the crescent kick is circular.
