Situation: |
You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H) with both of your arms pointing downward (toward 6:00H), while the opponent (at 6:00H) (facing 12:00H) applies a rear double arm bar, palms downward (toward 12:00V). |
1a) |
Apply a left thumb press (minor) to the inside of the opponent’s left hip area (nerve trigger), palm facing opponent (toward 3:00H), with the fingers wrapping around the outside of the opponent’s left hip (facing 6:00H), while simultaneously lifting your left leg upward (toward 12:00V), bottom of foot parallel to the floor (toward 6:00V) – toes pointing to your left (toward 9:00H), in preparation for the next move. |
Note: |
The weight shift off of your left foot should be done to minimize any telegraphing of the next move to your opponent. |
Result |
The opponent’s lower abdomen should be pulled backward (toward 6:00H), due to the reaction of the nerve press, exposing the chin area. Also, the nerve press should have the effect of distracting the opponent from applying the double arm bar. |
1b) |
Immediately, deliver a left heel stomp to the instep of the opponent’s left foot (minor) (toward 6:00V). |
Result |
The opponent’s full attention should be directed toward their left foot, while the application of the double arm bar should be further loosened by the reaction to the stomp. |
1c) |
Without any loss of motion, deliver a right rear obscure elbow strike (toward 12:00V), palm facing opponent (toward 6:00H), to the bottom of the opponent’s chin area (major), simultaneously with a right rear scoop kick (toward 12:00V) to the opponent’s groin area (major). |
Result |
The opponent’s head should be thrust upward (toward 12:00V) and back (toward 6:00H), while the double arm bar lock / grab should be fully broken. |
2) |
Execute a 360 degree body rotation (counter clockwise H) by planting your right foot to your left (toward 9:00H), and then planting your left foot to your left (toward 9:00H). Complete the body rotation, into a horse (facing 12:00H), by grabbing your opponent’s left wrist with your left hand, palm downward (toward 6:00V), with the retraction of your left arm to a left chambered position, while simultaneously executing a right upward diagonal (toward 10:30V) inner elbow strike (toward 12:00H) to the back of the opponent’s left elbow (minor). |
Note |
The rotation of the body and the settle into the stance should be used to enhance the effectiveness of the inner elbow strike. |
Result |
The opponent’s left arm should break at the elbow, while their middle back and body should arch forward (toward 12:00H) in reaction to hyper-extension of the left elbow. |
3) |
Raise (toward 12:00V) your left hand to your right solar plexus (positioned cover), palm forward (toward 3:00H), while simultaneously retracting (toward (9:00H) your right arm to a right vertical blocking position (positioned cover). Immediately, cross out and cover (toward 10:00H). |
