Wide Kneel

a)proper alignments:
i)width = toe/heel
ii)depth = heel/knee
iii)height = bend rear knee to approximate height of open vertical hand

 

b)proper rotation:
i)feet = forward at 45-degree angle
ii)body = forward at 45-degree angle

 

c)proper weight distribution:
i)50% / 50% between feet

 

d)proper positioning:
i)back vertical
ii)rear foot on ball

Form Specific

a)improper positioning:
i)not dropping into stance with execution of strike

 

Note: The Wide Kneel in Short Form Two is used to isolate the power principle of Gravitational Marriage and as such change of height should be synched with the execution of the block / strike.

Comments

a)Some of the most common mistakes of the Wide Kneel are:
i)not having both feet point forward at 45-degree angle
ii)not having the proper width (toe / heel alignment) or depth (heel / knee alignment)
iii)uneven weight distribution (50% / 50%)
iv)not keeping the back up straight
