Ideal Execution

Written Illustration:

Situation:

You are standing naturally, hands down, with the opponent (to your front) pointing a pistol at your chest.

1)

Step your left foot forward (toward left front), to the outside of the opponent's right arm, into a left neutral bow, getting out of the line of fire while checking his right leg with your left knee. As you step forward, execute a right outward hooking parry, like a waiter carrying a tray, to the outside and on top of the opponent's right hand at the pistol, while simultaneously reaching and grabbing on top of his right hand with your left hand.

2)

Step your right foot forward, between your left leg and the opponent's right leg, into a right neutral bow, positioning yourself outside and behind his right leg. As you step forward, strike, pin, and press your right forearm, now perpendicular to his arm, against the back of his right hand. Pull in with your left hand, acting as a fulcrum, and push forward with your right forearm, forcing the pistol to point toward his own face.

3)

Pivot counter-clockwise into a right reverse bow (facing rear), your left hand and right forearm twisting the opponent's right wrist counter-clockwise to break it. Follow through, forcing him onto his back, head toward right rear, feet toward left front, tripping him with your right leg.

4)

Immediately execute a right shovel kick, ball of the foot first, then the heel, all in the same motion, to the opponent's right ribcage.

5)

Follow through, ascending higher with your shovel kick, and come down with a right thrusting heel stomp to the head of the humerus of his left shoulder.

6)

Plant your right foot slightly above and to the right of the opponent's left shoulder. Quickly pivot counter-clockwise into a left close kneel, and without disturbing your momentum, drop your right knee onto his throat. Simultaneously execute a right two-finger eye poke to his eyes, your left hand still holding his pistol and right hand, barrel pointed away from you.

7)

Take the pistol with your right hand and strike down, back, toward your right leg, and through the right side of the opponent's jaw with the butt of the pistol.

8)

Reverse the motion of your right hand and strike again with the butt of the gun forward and through the left side of his face, continuing the same action to strike his right arm.

9)

From the flow of your last strike, execute a right knife-edge kick to the opponent's right arm.

10)

Plant your right foot (toward right rear), just below the opponent's right arm, into a right neutral bow.

11)

Execute a left front crossover (toward right), taking the pistol by the barrel with your left hand and switching it to the palm of your right hand. As you step out with your right foot (toward right), turn counter-clockwise (facing left) into a left neutral bow, and drop your left hand down and under the pistol, positioned to the right of your right hand, fingers vertical, palm out, taking care not to let your hand cross in front of the barrel.

12)

Now clear, settle into your left neutral bow, rest your right wrist on top of your left wrist, and aim the pistol at the opponent, keeping your left hand from exceeding the end of the barrel.
