Situation: |
You are in a normal stance (facing forward) with both of your arms at your side (toward down) with the opponent (to your rear) facing you (toward front) beginning to apply a rear bear hug, arms pinned, to your chest area. |
Elaboration: |
The pin to the arms should be above your elbows. |
1) |
Raise your left hand (toward up) and pin (toward rear) both the opponent's hands to your body with your left hand (pinning check), palm pointing backward (toward rear), with a right step backward (toward left rear flank) into a left reverse bow facing backward (toward rear) (stabilize your base), while simultaneously delivering a right thrusting back hammering hammer-fist (toward rear) to the opponent's groin area (major). |
Elaboration: |
The step of the previous maneuver (1) should be between the opponent's legs creating a sweep to their left leg. |
Result: |
The opponent's lower body should be thrust backward (toward rear) while their upper body should begin to bend forward (toward front). The opponent might also attempt to release the bear hug to cover the groin, but your left hand should prevent this from happening. |
2) |
Raise (toward up) your right hand, palm pointing toward you (toward rear), on the inside of the opponent's right arm, clearing it from your body and continuing the motion over your right shoulder (toward upper rear), hooking the back right side of the opponent's neck, palm pointing down (toward down) while simultaneously raising your left arm (toward up) clearing the opponent's left arm from your body and continuing the motion over your right shoulder (toward upper rear), hooking the left back side of the opponent's neck, palm pointing downward (toward down). |
Elaboration: |
The previous maneuver (2) should conclude with the right hand on top of the left hand, both palms pointing relatively downward (toward down), thus preventing the opponent from straightening their back (pinning checks). |
3) |
Pull the opponent forward and down (toward lower right front flank) over your right shoulder while executing a right upward thrusting knee kick (toward up) to the opponent's face area (major). |
Elaboration: |
The previous maneuver (3) should avoid making contact with the teeth area of the face and concentrate more on the upper regions (i.e. nose, eye socket, temple). |
Result: |
The opponent should attempt to grab their face, but their left arm should be stopped by your back and left shoulder. |
4) |
Replant (toward down) your right foot forward (toward right front flank) into a right neutral bow facing forward (toward right front flank) while simultaneously circling your right arm (counter-clockwise vertically) from under the opponent's body to deliver a right hammering inward overhead elbow strike (major) to the opponent's upper spine area (toward down) (gravitational marriage) while releasing and shifting (toward right rear) the left grab to the opponent's neck to your right solar plexus (positioned cover), palm pointing forward (toward right front flank). |
Elaboration: |
The previous maneuver (4) should employ the concept of continuity of motion with the other maneuvers (3). |
Result: |
The opponent should collapse to the ground (toward down) at your right flank, face down (toward down) (body on a left front flank to right front flank line). |
5) |
Retract your right arm (as needed) to a covering position while continuing to maintain your other defenses (positioned cover). |
