Situation |
You are in a (passive) normal stance (facing 12:00H) with both of your hands raised to shoulder height, palms forward (toward 12:00H) (positioned covers) with the opponent (at 12:00H) (facing 6:00H) stepping forward (toward 6:00H) with their right foot, executing a direct two-hand push (toward 6:00H) to your upper abdomen area. |
1a) |
Step back (toward 6:00H) with your left foot into a right neutral bow, while delivering a right hammering inward (toward 9:00H) downward diagonal (toward 7:30V) block to the outside, top of the opponent's left forearm causing the opponent’s left arm to be pushed under the opponent’s right arm. Shift your right foot back (toward 6:00H) into a right 45 degree cat (facing 12:00H) while continuing the motion of your right arm, circling (clockwise V) on top of the opponent’s right arm, palm down (toward 6:00V), grabbing the top of opponent’s right forearm, simultaneously with the shifting (toward 6:00V) of your left arm, palm up (toward 12:00V), grabbing the bottom of the opponent’s left forearm. |
Note |
The motion of your right arm should form a horizontal figure 8. |
Result |
The opponent’s push should be out distanced by the shift of your body back (toward 6:00H) with their arms extended forward (toward 6:00H) and prevented from moving by the press of your arms (detaining check). |
1b) |
Immediately, deliver a right thrusting front kick (ball kick) (toward 12:00H) to the opponent's groin area (major) with the pull of the opponent’s right arm (toward 5:00H) (opposing forces), while maintaining the grab to the opponent’s left forearm (detaining check). |
Result |
The opponent’s lower body should be thrust back (toward 12:00H), but prevented from moving too much by the pull on their right arm, causing the opponent to bend forward at the waist (toward 6:00H) with arms extended forward (toward 6:00H), with the left arm attempting to cover the groin area but prevented from doing so by the grab of your left hand (detaining check). |
2a) |
Plant your right foot to your left (toward 7:30H) (gauge) into a left rear twist (facing 1:30H) with the continued pull of your right hand to the opponent’s right arm (toward 5:00H), while simultaneously releasing the grab to the opponent’s left arm, shifting (toward 7:30H) your left hand to your right solar plexus (positioned cover), palm forward (toward 1:30H). |
Result |
The opponent should attempt to stand up straight, but be forced to continue to bend forward (toward 6:00H), at the waist (height/depth check), with arms extended forward (toward 6:00H).
The opponent’s lower by should be force slightly back (toward 12:00H) and up (toward 10:30V), continuing to bend forward (toward 6:00H) at the waist (height/depth check), with the arms beginning to cover the pelvic area. |
2c) |
Replant your left foot toward your right foot (toward 6:00H) (gauge) into a left rear close knee (facing 12:00H), in preparation for the next move. Without any loss of motion, rotate your body (clockwise H) with a right thrusting back kick (toward 1:30H) (toward 10:30V) to the opponent’s right ribcage area (major). |
Result |
The opponent’s body should thrust to your right (toward 1:30H), collapsing to the ground (toward 6:00V) on their left side (body on the 1:30H – 7:30H line). |
3) |
Replant your right foot back (toward 7:30H) into a left rear twist (facing 1:30H) with the shift of your right arm (toward 1:30H) into a right vertical blocking position (positioned cover), simultaneous with the shift (toward 1:30H) of your left hand to your right solar plexus (positioned cover), palm forward (toward 1:30H). Cross out and cover (toward 7:30H). |
