Can Short Form Three be practiced with real attackers?

As long as the practitioner and the participants realize that the form does not always use the best angles and sometimes does maneuvers that are not entirely physically possible to execute successfully on a live opponent, yes. One must remember that the self-defense techniques as executed in a form are not always the same as they are executed individually. Because of this, sometimes a self-defense technique can't be performed effectively on an actual opponent, as dictated by the form. Occasionally, it is best not to perform a specific technique on an opponent as it is executed in the form. Instead, either skip the technique with an opponent, or compensate for the ineffectiveness of the technique by changing the technique's execution slightly to better accommodate a real opponent.
