This variation is generally considered destructive.

 

This variation changes the 'standard' pattern of the form's execution. Short Form Three lays out a pattern extended upon by higher forms and therefore a change of foot pattern angles would disrupt this element of continuity of the forms. Therefore, it is encouraged that one should become aware of the individual angles within the form, why they are executed as such, and avoid unwarranted and/or improper alterations to them.
