So, how does Short Form Two fit into the Dictionary / Encyclopedia / Appendix analogy?
First, Short Form Two begins from a Meditating Horse stance. As a matter of fact, all forms up through Long Form Two begin from a Meditating Horse stance. Next, Short Form Two starts with a Right, Hammering, Inward Block and copies the In / Out / Up / Down sequence set in Short Form One. Again, all forms up through Long Form Two have the same properties. Therefore one can safely say: all Dictionary forms start from a Meditating Horse stance; begin with a Right, Hammering, Inward Block; and work on an In / Out / Up / Down sequence.
Next, Short Form Two builds on the foundation which was set in place by Short Form One. Specifically, it extends the demonstration of the concept of opposites (left / right, up / down, in / out, etc) and reverses (forward / backward, inward / outward, clockwise / counter-clockwise, etc). An important thing to notice about Short Form Two extending the foundation is that even though the extension is primarily focused on physical motion - in this case, reverse physical motion, it also includes conceptual opposites.
As an example: an opposite to a closed hand is an open hand - physical motions. Whereas an opposite to understanding is not understanding - a concept.
