Form Standard Execution - "V" Step

Note:

H = Horizontal - Example: 6:00H

V = Vertical - Example 12:00V

From a meditating horse stance...

1)

a)Step forward with your right foot (toward 12:00H) into a right neutral bow (facing 12:00H) with a right hammering inward block (toward 10:30H) (major), while simultaneously repositioning (toward 6:00V) your left arm into a left positioned cover, palm forward (toward 12:00H), at your right solar plexus.

b)Execute a right, hammering, outward, downward diagonal hand-sword (toward 1:30H) (toward 4:30V) (major), while simultaneously settling (toward 6:00V) into your right neutral bow (facing 12:00H).

2)

a)Left step-through forward (toward 12:00H) into a left neutral bow (facing 12:00H) with a left, thrusting, inward block (toward 1:30H) (major), while simultaneously repositioning (toward 6:00H) your right arm into a right positioned cover, palm forward (toward 12:00H), at your left solar plexus.

b)Execute a left, hammering, outward, downward diagonal hand-sword (toward 10:30H) (toward 7:30V) (major), while simultaneously settling (toward 6:00V) into your left neutral bow.

3)

a)Draw your left foot backward (toward 6:00H) toward your right foot into a left 45 degree cat (facing 12:00H), while simultaneously retracting both of your arms (toward 6:00H), hands in fists (palms facing each-other), to your right side.

Note: The right arm completes its retraction into a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V), while your left arm completes its retraction ending horizontally cocked across your lower abdomen, palm down (toward 6:00V), left fist positioned directly on top of the right fist.

b)Step your left foot to your left (toward 9:00H) into a left, offset, fighting horse (facing 9:00H), while simultaneously executing a left, vertical, outward block (toward 6:00H) (major) with a right, thrusting, straight punch (toward 9:00H) (major).

Note: The offset, fighting horse is positioned such that the feet are offset aligned (toe-heel alignment - like a neutral bow), both feet and body point directly to the side (like a horse), and the head is turned to look at the Point of Reference (where an imaginary opponent would be - like a neutral bow).

4)

a)Draw your right foot to your left (toward 9:00H) toward your left foot, into a right 45 degree cat (facing 12:00H), while simultaneously retracting both of your arms (toward 3:00H), hands in fists (palms facing each-other), to your left side.

Note: The left arm completes its retraction in a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00H), while your right arm completes its retraction ending horizontally cocked across your lower abdomen, palm down (toward 6:00V), right fist positioned directly on top of the left fist.

b)Step your right foot to your right (toward 3:00H) into a right, offset, fighting horse (facing 3:00H), while simultaneously executing a right, vertical, outward block (toward 6:00H) (major) with a left, thrusting, straight punch (toward 3:00H) (major).

Note: The offset, fighting horse is positioned such that the feet are offset aligned (toe-heel alignment - like a neutral bow), both feet and body point directly to the side (like a horse), and the head is turned to look at the Point of Reference (where an imaginary opponent would be - like a neutral bow).

5)

a)Draw your left foot to your right (toward 3:00H) toward your right foot, into a left 45 degree cat (facing 12:00H), while simultaneously retracting both of your arms (toward 9:00H), hands in fists (palms facing each-other), to your right side.

Note: The right arm completes its retraction into a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V), while your left arm completes its retraction ending horizontally cocked across your lower abdomen, palm down (toward 6:00V), left fist positioned directly on top of the right fist.

b)Step your left foot backwards (toward 5:30H) into a left, modified, transitory, rear twist stance1 (facing 6:00H).

c) Immediately after stabilizing your base, rotate (counter-clockwise H) and settle (toward 6:00V) into a left, wide kneel (facing 6:00H), while simultaneously executing a left, upward block (toward 12:00V) (major) with a right, snapping, downward, vertical, raking middle-knuckle (toward 6:00V) (minor), palm facing to your left (toward 9:00V).

Note: The middle-knuckle strike should not pass beyond a horizontal plane and should be immediately drawn back (snapped) upward (toward 12:00V), stopping in front of your right shoulder.

6)

a)Draw your right foot forward (toward 6:00H) toward your left foot, into a right, rear, transitory, 45 degree cat (facing 12:00H) while simultaneously retracting both of your arms (toward 12:00H), hands in fists (palms facing each-other), to your left side.

Note: The left arm completes its retraction in a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00H), while your right arm completes its retraction ending horizontally cocked across your lower abdomen, palm down (toward 6:00V), right fist positioned directly on top of the left fist.

b)Step your right foot backward (toward 12:30H) into a right, modified, transitory, rear twist stance1 (facing 12:00H).

Note: The above foot maneuver is commonly referred to as a “V” step.

c)Immediately after stabilizing your base, rotate (clockwise H) and settle (toward  6:00V) into a right, wide kneel (facing 12:00H), while simultaneously executing a right upward block (toward 12:00V) (major) with a left, snapping, downward, vertical, raking middle-knuckle (toward 6:00V) (minor), palm facing to your right (toward 3:00V).

Note: The middle-knuckle strike should not pass beyond a horizontal plane and should be immediately drawn back (snapped) upward (toward 12:00V), stopping in front of your left shoulder.

7)

a)Draw your left foot forward (toward 12:00H) toward your right foot into a left, transitory, rear 45 degree cat (facing 6:00H) while simultaneously retracting both of your arms (toward 6:00H), hands in fists (palms facing each-other), to your right side.

Note: The right arm completes its retraction into a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V), while your left arm completes its retraction ending horizontally cocked across your lower abdomen, palm down (toward 6:00V), left fist positioned directly on top of the right fist.

b)Step your left foot backward (toward 4:30H) into a left, modified, rear twist stance1 (facing 4:30H)

Note: The above foot maneuver is commonly referred to as a “V” step.

c)Immediately after stabilizing your base, start to rotate (counter-clockwise H) with a right, hammering, inside-downward, palm up block (toward 1:30H) (minor), while simultaneously allowing your left hand to cock to your right shoulder, palm up (toward 12:00V). Without any loss of motion, finish the rotation (counter-clockwise H) with a left, hammering, downward block (toward 1:30H) (major) with the settle (toward  6:00V) into a left neutral bow (facing 4:30H), while simultaneously retracting (toward 10:30H) your right arm to a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

d)Right step-through forward (toward 4:30H) into a right neutral bow (facing 4:30H) with a right, thrusting, straight heel-palm (toward 4:30H) (major), fingers pointing upward (toward 12:00V), while simultaneously repositioning (toward 10:30H) your left hand into a left positioned cover, palm forward (toward 4:30H) at your right solar plexus.

8)

a)Draw your right foot backward (toward 10:30H) toward your left foot into a right, 45 degree cat (facing 6:00H) while simultaneously retracting both of your arms (toward 12:00H), hands in fists (palms facing each-other), to your left side.

Note: The left arm completes its retraction in a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V), while your right arm completes its retraction ending horizontally cocked across your lower abdomen, palm down (toward 6:00V), right fist positioned directly on top of the left fist.

b)Rotate (clockwise H) with a left, hammering, inside downward, palm up block (toward 10:30H) (minor), while simultaneously retracting (toward 1:30H) your right hand to your left shoulder, palm up (toward 12:00V), in preparation for the next move. Without any loss of motion, step forward (toward 7:30H) with your right foot into a right neutral bow (facing 7:30H), and settle (toward 6:00V) into your stance with a right, hammering, downward block (toward 10:30H) (major), while simultaneously retracting (toward 1:30H) your left arm to a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

c)Left step-through forward (toward 7:30H) into a left neutral bow (facing 7:30H) with a left, thrusting, straight heel-palm (toward 7:30H) (major), fingers pointing upward (toward 12:00V), while simultaneously repositioning your right hand (toward 1:30H) into a right positioned cover, palm forward (toward 7:30H) at your left solar plexus.

9)

a)Rotate (cover) (clockwise H) with the draw of your right foot backward (toward 7:30H) toward your left foot into a right 45 degree cat (facing 1:30H) along with the execution of a left, hammering, inward block (toward 3:00H) (minor), while simultaneously retracting (toward 7:30H) your right arm horizontally across your lower abdomen, palm facing upward (toward 12:00V), in preparation for the next move.

c)While maintaining the position of your right arm, execute a left, snapping, half-knuckle (toward 1:30H) (minor), palm down (toward 6:00V), while simultaneously shifting (clockwise H) into a right, transitory forward bow (facing 1:30H). Allow the retraction of your left hand to return to its original position, while simultaneously shifting (counter-clockwise H) back to the original stance.

10)

a)Rotate (counter-clockwise H) with the draw of your left foot backward (toward 1:30H) toward your right foot into a left 45 degree cat (facing 10:30H) along with the execution of a right inward, hammering inward block (toward 9:00H) (minor), while simultaneously retracting (toward 4:30H) your left arm horizontally across your lower abdomen, palm facing upward (toward 12:00V), in preparation for the next move.

b)Without any loss of motion, step forward (toward 10:30H) with your left foot into a left neutral bow (facing 10:30H) with a left, thrusting, extended outward block (toward 9:00H) (major), while simultaneously retracting your right arm to your right pectoral area, palm up (toward 12:00V) and in a half-fist position (knuckles facing 10:30H), in preparation for the next move.

c)While maintaining the position of your left arm, execute a right, snapping, half-knuckle (toward 10:30H) (minor), palm down (toward 6:00V), while simultaneously shifting (counter-clockwise H) into a left, transitory forward bow (facing 10:30H). Allow the retraction of your right hand to return to its original position, while  simultaneously shifting (clockwise H) back to the original stance.

11)
Step right foot forward (toward 12:00H) into a meditating horse (facing 12:00H), by placing your left open hand (on a 1:30V - 7:30V line) over your right fist (on a 10:30V - 4:30V line) parallel to your body in front of you, at chin level.
