Understanding Short Form One

So, how does Short Form One fit into the Dictionary / Encyclopedia / Appendix analogy?

First, Short Form One begins from a Meditating Horse stance. As a matter of fact, all forms up through Long Form Two begin from a Meditating Horse stance. Next, Short Form One starts with a Right, Hammering, Inward Block and sets an In / Out / Up / Down sequence. Again, all forms up through Long Form Two have the same properties. Therefore one can safely say: all Dictionary forms start from a Meditating Horse stance; begin with a Right, Hammering, Inward Block; and work on an In / Out / Up / Down sequence.

Next, Short Form One starts a foundation on which all of the rest of the Dictionary forms build. It introduces the concept of opposites (left / right, up / down, in / out, etc) and reverses (inward / outward, clockwise / counter-clockwise, direct rotational / counter rotational, etc). The important thing to notice about this foundation is that it is primarily focused on physical motion, not concepts.

As an example: an opposite to a right block is a left block - physical motions. Whereas an opposite to understanding is not understanding - a concept.
