a) not obeying Economy of Motion principle / Create a stable base rule
i) creating too many adjustments with feet
1) breaking the heel (lifting/moving rear of foot before moving front of foot)
2) adjusting/rotating feet prior to/during foot maneuvers
3) adjusting the foot not used in a foot maneuver
4) re-adjusting foot used in foot maneuver, after maneuver
ii) foot not stepping directly to new location
iii) splitting the stance (moving both feet, instead of one)
iv) bouncing up and down while executing foot maneuver or stationary
b) improper pivoting:
i) rotating on the heel instead of the ball of the foot
ii) executing a twist through instead of a step through (splitting timing of distance/rotation during foot maneuver)
c) jet legging (splitting timing of lower/upper body – i.e. creating distance with feet first and then the upper body)
d) executing a cat stance as a separate motion – i.e. holding cat stance too long
Example of bobbing during a step through, reverse
