Situation: |
You are in a right neutral bow with the opponent (to your front) delivering a left roundhouse kick toward your right kidney, followed by a left punch. |
1) |
In response to the kick, execute a universal block, right downward with a left inward block, to the inside of the opponent's left leg. |
2) |
As the opponent plants his left foot and attempts to punch your head with his left hand, pivot into a right forward bow (facing forward), executing a right upward block under and inside his left attacking arm. Simultaneously deliver a left thrusting heel-palm, fingers pointing toward right, to his left floating ribs. |
Result: |
The opponent's depth and body momentum should be controlled, and the wind knocked out of him. |
3) |
Pivot into a right neutral bow, reversing the motion of your left hand into a left upward block under the opponent's left arm. Simultaneously reverse the motion of your right arm into a right thrusting heel-palm strike, fingers pointing toward left, to his right floating ribs. Upon completing the heel-palm strike, convert your left upward block into a grab, palm in, thumb up, on the opponent's left wrist. |
Result: |
The opponent should be forced to bend forward at the waist. |
4) |
While still grabbing the opponent's left wrist, execute a right front crossover (toward left rear) and jerk his left arm diagonally down and past your left hip, using your body momentum to fully disturb his balance. As you settle into a left rear twist stance, deliver a right downward forearm strike to the opponent's left elbow while simultaneously pulling up with your left hand. |
Result: |
The opponent's left elbow should break. |
5) |
While still controlling the opponent's left wrist, execute a right knife-edge kick to the inside of his right thigh, simultaneously delivering a right outward back-knuckle strike to his left temple. |
Result: |
The opponent should be dazed and begin to fall to the ground. |
6) |
Plant your right foot back to its point of origin, into your left rear twist stance. As you plant, contour your right hand down and to the inside of the opponent's left arm, assisting your left hand in grabbing his left hand: right thumb on the back of his left hand, right fingers on the inside of his palm, left thumb on the back of his left hand, left fingers inside his palm, forming the beginning of a wrist lock. |
7) |
Without hesitation, step your left foot further (toward left rear) into a transitional right neutral bow, facing the opponent. Immediately rotate your right foot clockwise, stepping back (toward left rear) to form a left neutral bow (facing right front). As your right foot rotates back, twist the opponent's left wrist clockwise with both hands, using your right hip as a supporting brace. |
Result: |
The opponent's left wrist should sprain, dislocate, break, or fracture, forcing him onto his back, head positioned toward right rear. |
8) |
Without loss of momentum, deliver a left downward looping roundhouse kick to the opponent's solar plexus. |
Result: |
The opponent should be stunned. |
9) |
Clear the opponent's left arm with your left foot while executing a left front crossover, and cover out twice (toward left rear). |
