Ideal Execution

Written Illustration:

Situation:

You are standing naturally with opponent #2 applying a rear bear hug, arms pinned, while opponent #1 prepares to punch you from the front.

1)

As opponent #1 delivers a right punch toward your face, get off the line of attack by stepping your left foot (toward left) into a wide horse stance (facing forward). Simultaneously pin the hands of opponent #2, who is applying the rear bear hug, with your left hand. The moment your left foot settles, execute a right front thrusting ball kick to the groin of opponent #1 while simultaneously executing a right back hammer-fist to the groin of opponent #2.

Result:

Opponent #1 should bend over and be driven back.

2)

From the contact point of your right kick, plant your right foot back (toward left rear) to the inside of opponent #2's left leg. Immediately convert your plant into a right reverse bow, buckling opponent #2's left leg. Simultaneously execute a right downward heel-palm strike, converting into a squeeze, to the groin of opponent #2.

Result:

Opponent #2 should release his grip and bend forward at the waist.

3)

Execute a right over-the-shoulder back-knuckle strike to the face of opponent #2, your left hand continuing to check his hands.

Result:

Opponent #2's head should snap back slightly.

4)

Immediately circle your right arm counter-clockwise, traveling up, around, and to the right side of opponent #2's neck. Circle your left hand clockwise, over your right shoulder, to the left side of his neck. As both hands meet on the back of his neck, grab, pull, and force his head down while simultaneously delivering a right knee kick to his face.

Result:

Opponent #2 should be dazed.

5)

From the contact point of your right knee kick, step into a right front crossover and immediately execute a left knife-edge kick to the sternum of opponent #1, still positioned to your front.

Result:

Opponent #1 should bend forward at the waist and be forced back.

6)

From the contact point of your left kick, plant your left foot (toward front) into a transitional left neutral bow.

7)

Without any loss of forward momentum, execute a right rear crossover while striking with a left outward back-knuckle strike to the head of opponent #1, settling into a right rear twist stance.

Result:

Opponent #1 should be dazed.

8)

From your right rear twist stance, execute a right thrusting ball kick to the sternum of opponent #2.

Result:

Opponent #2 should move back.

9)

From the contact point of your right kick, execute a right rear crossover followed by a left back thrusting heel kick to the stomach of opponent #1.

Result:

Opponent #1 should be driven away.

10)

From the contact point of your left kick, execute a left front crossover and double cover out (toward left), positioning yourself midway between your two opponents.
