Ideal Execution

Written Illustration:

Situation

You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H) with both of your arms at your side (toward 6:00V), while the opponent (at 12:00H) (facing 6:00H) executes a left straight lunging push (toward 6:00H) toward your chest area with the left foot stepping forward (toward 6:00H).

1)

Step back (toward 4:30H) (off the line of attack) with your left foot into a left transitory neutral bow (toward 10:30H) (stable base) with a left outward parry (toward 7:30H) to the outside of the opponent's left elbow  (close center line), palm up (toward 10:30V), while simultaneously raising (toward 12:00V) your right fist to your right shoulder (positioned cock), palm forward (toward 10:30H), striking the under side of the opponent’s left elbow (minor) (with your punching knuckles) in the process (insert).  Without any lose of momentum, execute a right hammering inside downward hammer-fist (toward 10:30H) (toward 7:30V) (clockwise V) to the opponent’s left kidney (major), allowing your right hand to continue through the striking area and cock to your left ribcage (toward 4:30H), palm up (toward 12:00V).

Result

The opponent’s body should begin to rotate (clockwise V) (toward 9:00H) to your left with the right hand beginning to attempt to cover the left ribcage area.

2)

Reversing the momentum from the previous moves, execute a right hammering outward back-knuckle (toward 12:00H) to the opponent’s left ribcage (major), as you settle into a right neutral bow (toward 10:30H).

Note

The settle into your right neutral bow should enhance the force of the right outward back-knuckle strike.

Result

The opponent’s body should be rotated (counter clockwise H) (toward 6:00H) to your right and bend forward (toward 6:00H), while the hands attempt to cover the ribcage area.

3)

Draw your right foot (toward 4:30H) toward your left foot into a right transitory 45 degree cat (facing 10:30H), while simultaneously raising your right arm (toward 12:00V) to a vertical blocking position (positioned cover).  Immediately rotate (counter clockwise H) (toward 4:30H) your body to your left and drop your weight (toward 6:00V) with the execution of a right looping downward diagonal roundhouse kick (toward 4:30V) to the back of the opponent's left knee (major) (complimentary angle).

Note

The dropping of your weight should enhance the force of the right downward diagonal roundhouse kick.

Result

The opponent’s left knee should be forced to the ground (toward 7:30H) (toward 7:30V).

4)

Without re-planting your right foot, cross out and cover (toward 4:30H).
