Situation: |
You are standing naturally, approached by opponent #1 from the front and grabbed from the rear by opponent #2's left hand near the collar of your right shoulder. |
1) |
As opponent #1 executes a right punch, step your right foot back (toward rear) into a left neutral bow, positioning yourself so you can peripherally observe both opponents. As you drop back, deliver a left inward block to the outside of opponent #1's right punch. Simultaneously position your right leg to the inside of opponent #2's left, forward, leg, aiming to buckle it, while delivering a right over-the-shoulder back-knuckle strike to the bridge of opponent #2's nose. |
Result: |
Opponent #2 should be temporarily delayed. |
2) |
Immediately step through with your right foot (toward left front) into a transitional right neutral bow, delivering a right inward diagonal back-knuckle rake to opponent #1's right cheekbone or temple, your left hand acting as a positional check. |
Result: |
Opponent #1's head should be driven back, increasing the distance between you and opponent #2. |
3) |
Without hesitation, pivot counter-clockwise horizontally 180 degrees and strike opponent #1's right lower ribcage with a left outward horizontal back-knuckle. In the same motion, execute a right inward heel-palm detaining check to his right upper arm. |
Result: |
Opponent #1 should bend forward at the waist, with opponent #2 now clearly visible. |
4) |
As opponent #2 re-enters the combat arena and delivers a right punch toward your head, convert your right detaining check, on opponent #1, into a right thrusting inward block to the inside of opponent #2's right arm. |
5) |
Follow up with a right front snap ball kick to the groin of opponent #2 (toward right rear). |
Result: |
Opponent #2 should be stunned. |
6) |
Immediately continue working on opponent #2 with the following sequence: |
6a) |
As you plant your right foot, using your left hand to check high, strike the right side of opponent #2's neck with a right outward handsword, nullifying his height, width, and depth zones. |
6b) |
Pivot into a right forward bow (facing right rear), executing a left five-finger thrust, palm down, to opponent #2's eyes, your right hand cocking to your right hip, fist clenched, palm up. |
Result: |
Opponent #2's head should snap back and away from you. |
6c) |
With opponent #2's head moving away, his midsection should jut forward. Take advantage of this by pivoting into a right neutral bow, striking with a right uppercut punch to his stomach, your left hand becoming a cocking check, guarding horizontally, palm down, near your right biceps. |
Result: |
Opponent #2 should bend over at the waist. |
6d) |
With opponent #2 bending over, slide your left foot counter-clockwise (toward left) into a right forward bow, now facing right, striking the left side of opponent #2's neck with a left outward handsword, your right hand positioned as a check against his left arm. |
6e) |
Without hesitation, pivoting into a right neutral bow, execute a right inward handsword to the back of opponent #2's neck, your left hand hooking around the left side of his neck as an interim hold, pulling his head down if necessary, checking low as the handsword strikes. |
Result: |
Opponent #2 should be bent forward at the waist, creating the proper angle of positioning for opponent #1. |
7) |
From the final right handsword, contour your right hand around opponent #2's neck and head into a right downward heel palm to the top of his head. Execute this as you step forward with your left foot into a transitory left front twist stance, your left hand positioned as a check in the neutral zone. |
Result: |
Opponent #2's head should be kept below his waist, canceling his height zones and creating the proper angle of positioning for opponent #1. |
8) |
Convert your forward momentum into rotational momentum by pivoting counter-clockwise horizontally, delivering a right roundhouse kick to the torso of opponent #1. |
Result: |
Opponent #1 should be stunned and fall to the ground. |
9) |
From the contact point of your right roundhouse kick, execute a right front crossover toward opponent #2 and deliver a left thrusting back heel kick to any available opening on opponent #2. |
Result: |
Opponent #2 should be incapacitated and driven away from you. |
10) |
From the contact point of your left kick, execute a left front crossover and double cover out (toward right), concluding midway between both opponents. |
