Ideal Execution

Written Illustration:

Situation:

You are in a left neutral bow with opponent #1 to your front executing a right punch, and opponent #2 charging from the rear.

1)

Step slightly forward with your left foot as you duck under opponent #1's right punch. As you duck, execute a left upward claw to his face, simultaneous with a right underhand reverse handsword to his groin.

Result:

These strikes should stun opponent #1.

2)

Follow up with a right knee strike to his groin, your left hand actively checking at his chest, your right hand cocking, fist clenched, palm up, at your right hip.

Result:

Opponent #1 should bend forward at the waist.

3)

While your right knee is still buried in opponent #1's groin, deliver a right back thrusting heel kick to the solar plexus of the aggressively charging opponent #2. As you deliver the back kick, simultaneously deliver a right thrusting vertical punch to the face of opponent #1 — the "parting of the snakes."

4)

From the contact point of your right back kick, plant your right foot toward opponent #2 (toward rear). Immediately cross your left foot behind your right foot into a left rear twist stance with a right outward back-knuckle strike to the face of opponent #2, your left hand checking in the neutral zone.

Result:

Opponent #2 should be further dazed.

5)

From your twist stance, execute a front chicken kick to opponent #1: a left front snapping ball kick to his solar plexus, then a right front snapping ball kick to his chin.

6)

As you plant forward into a right neutral bow (facing forward), deliver a right thrusting heel-palm strike to the chin of opponent #1.

Result:

The combined chicken kick and heel-palm strike should drive opponent #1 away.

7)

Follow up with a back chicken kick to opponent #2: a right back snapping heel kick, then a left back snapping heel kick, to any available openings.

Result:

This chicken kick should drive opponent #2 away.

8)

From the contact point of your left back kick, execute a left front crossover and cover out twice (toward right), positioning yourself equal distance from both opponents.
