Ideal Execution

Written Illustration:

Situation

You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H) with both of your arms at your side (toward 6:00V), while the opponent (at 4:30H) (facing 12:00H) executes a close left hand grab (toward 12:00H) to your right shoulder.

1)

Look over your right shoulder as you raise (toward 10:30V) your left hand and pin the opponent's left hand to your right shoulder (pinning check) (toward 6:00V).  Immediately, step (distance gauge) to your right (toward 3:00H) with your right foot to a horse (facing 12:00H) (stable base) with a right back thrusting elbow strike (toward 6:00H) to the opponent's sternum (minor).

Note

You may need to step anywhere from 3:00H to 6:00H depending upon the distance from your opponent.

Result

The opponent should be thrust slightly back (toward 6:00H), while the right hand attempts to cover the solar plexus and the left hand is prevented from moving by your left pinning hand.

2)

Using your elbow as the pivot point, execute a right back hammering hammer-fist strike (toward 6:00H) (counter clockwise V) to the opponent's groin (major).

Result

The opponent’s upper body should begin to bend forward (toward 12:00H), while the right hand attempts to cover the groin area and the left hand is still prevented from moving by your left pinning hand.

Note

Its highly likely that the opponent’s reaction from the above moves will force you to use your left pinning hand to deliver a left back four finger poke (toward 6:00H), palm down (toward 6:00V), over your right shoulder to the opponent’s eyes (minor), to halt the forward momentum for their upper body.

3)

Immediately, deliver a right thrusting obscure elbow (toward 12:00V) (contour) to the opponent’s chin (major), as you release your left hand pin to the opponent’s left hand.

Note

The right elbow strike should contour its way up the front of the opponent’s body, guided to the opponent’s face.

Result

The opponent’s body should be thrust upward (toward 12:00V) and back (toward 6:00H), collapsing to the ground (toward 6:00V), face up (toward 12:00V).

4)

Step forward with your left foot (toward 10:30H) into a right neutral bow (toward 6:00H) with the retraction (toward 12:00H) of your right arm to a vertical blocking position (positioned cover), simultaneously with the lowering (toward 6:00V) your left open hand to your right solar plexus (positioned cover), palm forward (toward 6:00H), while also maintaining your other defenses (positioned cover).
