Ideal Execution

Written Illustration:

Situation

You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H) with both of your arms at your side (toward 6:00V) with the opponent (at 4:30H) (facing 12:00H) applying a left, stiff-arm, shoulder grab to your right shoulder, palm down (toward 6:00V).

1)

Raise (toward 12:00V) and pin the opponent’s left hand to your right shoulder, palm down (toward 6:00V), while simultaneously, stepping with your left foot forward (toward 1:30H) into a left transitory forward bow (toward 1:30H) (purposeful opposition) (stable base), and moving your right straight arm (toward 9:00H) across your body, palm up (toward 12:00V), in preparation for the next move.

Result

The opponent’s upper body should begin to be pulled with you (toward 1:30H), but the opponent should resist and try to pull you back toward them (toward 4:30).

Note

The above result should launch you into the next series of motions.

2)

Immediately (purposeful compliance), turn (clockwise H) toward the opponent into a right neutral bow (toward 4:30) with a right outward hand-sword (toward 4:30V) to the opponent’s right side of neck or clerical area (open ended triangle) (major).

Result

The opponent’s entire body should begin to be forced downward (toward 4:30V) and to your right (toward 7:30H) and their hands should try to cover their right side of neck, but the left hand should be prevented from doing so by the pin of your left hand.

3)

Without any loss of motion from the previous move, deliver a left thrust kick to the opponent’s groin or pelvic area (toward 4:30H) (major) - without planting your left foot forward (toward 4:30H) and release the left hand pin to your right shoulder, by raising your fingers (toward 12:00V), palm forward (toward 4:30H) in front of your right shoulder, protecting your face and upper body (positioned check).

Result

The opponent’s lower body should be thrust back (toward 4:30), their upper body should bend forward (toward 11:30H), and their hands should attempt to cover their groin area.

4)

Immediately, execute a left rear pull-drag (toward 11:30H), while lowering your left hand (toward 6:00V), palm forward (toward 4:30H), to your right solar plexus (positioned check), and retracting your right arm (toward 4:30) into a right vertical blocking position (positioned check).

Result

The opponents should collapse to the ground (toward 6:00) (body on the 11:30H-4:30H line).

5)

Cross out and cover (toward 11:30H).
