Specific variations, as the name indicates, are limited in scope and do not affect the form as a whole. Their scope ranges from a single maneuver up to an entire self-defense technique (or isolation). Specific variations are typically destructive, but may sometimes be non-destructive.
Since Long Form Three is composed of self-defense techniques (and isolation sequences), this is how these variations will be detailed. The reader must keep in mind that not every small variation that is possible will be referenced. Instead, this section will only discuss many of the most commonly found variations.
Furthermore, this section will also note historic variations that may also affect this same area of the form. This format decision was made in an attempt to consolidate this information into a more compact and lucid presentation, allowing the reader to review this varied information in a single section.
