Note: | The maneuvers of this Isolation can be visualized with a potential opponent directly at your respective sides and facing in the same direction as you (facing 12:00H), executing a direct shoulder grab. |
1a) | Circle (counter clockwise V) your right arm in a back (toward 6:00H) to front (toward 12:00H) 360-degree circular path perpendicular to your body, concluding with the arm at your right side (elbow at upper waist height), the hand pointing directly to the left (toward 9:00H), and on a diagonally upward angle (fist at low shoulder height), palm up (toward 10:30V). |
1b) | Without any loss of motion, execute a right, snapping, vertical back-knuckle strike (toward 3:00H) to face height, concluding at the same relative position as where it started. |
Note: | The path of the previous set of maneuvers is a vertical circle cut by a diagonal line. |
Option: | The next maneuver should be done as a separate maneuver, but may also be executed with the next maneuver. |
1c) | Reposition (toward 6:00V) the right arm to chambered position at your right side, palm up (toward 12:00V). |
2a) | Circle (clockwise V) your left arm in a back (toward 6:00H) to front (toward 12:00H) 360-degree circular path perpendicular to your body, concluding with the arm at your left side (elbow at upper waist height), the hand pointing directly to the right (toward 3:00H), and on a diagonally upward angle (fist at low shoulder height), palm up (toward 1:30V). |
2b) | Without any loss of motion, execute a left, snapping, vertical back-knuckle strike (toward 9:00H) to face height, concluding at the same relative position as where it started. |
Note: | The path of the previous set of maneuvers is a vertical circle cut by a diagonal line. |
Option: | The next maneuver should be done as a separate maneuver, but may also be executed with the next maneuver. |
2c) | Reposition (toward 6:00V) the left arm to chambered position at your left side, palm up (toward 12:00V). |
3a) | Circle (clockwise V) your right arm in a front (toward 12:00H) to back (toward 6:00H) 360-degree circular path perpendicular to your body, concluding in the same relative position as where it started. |
3b) | Without any loss of motion, execute a right, snapping, outward back-knuckle (toward 3:00H) to rib height, concluding in a chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V), at your right side. |
Option: | The circular motion of your arm may be concluded with your elbow bent further from its original angle, placing the fist, palm up (toward 1:30V), on an upward, diagonal angle (toward 12:00H / 10:30V) and the elbow potentially slightly further forward (toward 12:00H) than its original starting point. |
Note: | The previous maneuver is executed on a linear line of travel (not a circular one). |
Note: | The path of the previous set of maneuvers is a vertical circle cut by a horizontal line. |
4a) | Circle (counter clockwise V) your left arm in a front (toward 12:00H) to back (toward 6:00H) 360-degree circular path perpendicular to your body, concluding in the same relative position as where it started. |
4b) | Without any loss of motion, execute a left, snapping, outward back-knuckle (toward 9:00H) to rib height, concluding in a chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V), at your left side. |
Note: | The next series of maneuvers are #1 and #2 executed simultaneously and may use the notes of their singular version. |
5a) | Circle (right counter clockwise V / left clockwise V) both your arms in a back (toward 6:00H) to front (toward 12:00H) 360-degree circular path perpendicular to your body, concluding with the arms at your sides (elbow at upper waist height), the hand pointing toward you (right toward 9:00H / left toward 3:00H), and on a diagonally upward angle (fist at low shoulder height), palm up (right toward 10:30V / left toward 1:30V). |
5b) | Without any loss of motion, execute simultaneous right and left, snapping, vertical back-knuckle strike (right toward 3:00H / left toward 9:00) to face height, concluding at the same relative positions as where they started. |
Option: | The next maneuver should be done as a separate maneuver, but may also be skipped and integrated into the following maneuver. |
5c) | Reposition (toward 6:00V) the both arms to chambered positions, palm up (toward 12:00V), at their respective sides. |
Note: | The next series of maneuvers are #3 and #4 executed simultaneously and may use the notes and options of their singular version. |
6a) | Circle (right clockwise V / left counter clockwise V) both your arms in a front (toward 12:00H) to back (toward 6:00H) 360-degree circular path perpendicular to your body, concluding in the same relative position as where it started. |
6b) | Without any loss of motion, execute simultaneous right and left, snapping, outward back-knuckles (right toward 3:00H / left toward 9:00H) to rib height, concluding in chambered positions, palms up (toward 12:00V), at their respective sides. |
