Succinctly put, yes. At the time the form was originally created, the first isolation was different and shorter than the current version. This change came about because Mr. Parker agreed with the assessment that the isolation could be improved upon. This proposed change better fit into the themes of Long Form Three, while also expounding upon further information about the subject of grabs (wrist). Therefore, the original version was completely abandoned and the version that is now considered the default standard was taught to all practitioners.
