Form Standard Execution - No "V" Step

Note:

H = Horizontal - Example: 6:00H

V = Vertical - Example 12:00V

 


 

From a meditating horse stance...

 

1)

a)Step forward, with your right foot (toward 12:00H) into a right neutral bow (facing 12:00H) with a right, hammering, inward block (toward 10:30H) (major), while simultaneously retracting your left hand (toward 6:00H) into a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

b)Execute a right, hammering, outward, downward diagonal hand-sword (toward 12:00H / 4:30V) (minor), while simultaneously settling (toward 6:00V) into your right neutral bow (facing 12:00H).

 

c)Without any loss of motion, rotate forward (clockwise H) into a right forward bow (facing 12:00H) with a left, thrusting, horizontal, four finger poke (major) (toward 12:00H), palm down (toward 6:00V), at eye level, while simultaneously continuing to retract your right hand (toward 6:00H) into a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

d)Rotate backward (counter-clockwise H) returning to a right neutral bow (facing 12:00H) with a right, thrusting, vertical, four finger poke (major) (toward 12:00H), palm facing to the left (toward 9:00V), at rib level, while simultaneously retracting your left open hand (toward 6:00H) into a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

2)

a)Step forward, with your left foot (toward 12:00H), into a left neutral bow (facing 12:00H) with a left, thrusting, inward block (toward 1:30H) (major), while simultaneously retracting your right hand (toward 6:00H) into a right chambered positioned, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

b)Execute a left, hammering outward, downward, diagonal hand-sword (toward 12:00H / 7:30V) (minor), while simultaneously settling (toward 6:00V) into your left neutral bow (facing 12:00H).

 

c)Without any loss of motion, rotate forward (counter-clockwise H) into a left forward bow (facing 12:00H) with a right, thrusting, horizontal, four finger poke (major) (toward 12:00H), palm down (toward 6:00V), at eye level, while simultaneously continuing to retract your left hand (toward 6:00H) into a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

d)Rotate backward (clockwise H) returning into a left neutral bow (facing 12:00H) with a left, thrusting, vertical, four finger poke (major) (toward 12:00H), palm facing to the right (toward 3:00V), at rib level, while simultaneously retracting your right open hand (toward 6:00H) into a right chambered positioned, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

3)

a)Draw your left foot backward (toward 6:00H) toward your right foot into a left 45 degree cat (facing 12:00H), while simultaneously retracting both of your fists with palms facing each-other (toward 6:00H), to your right side, at hip level.

 

Note: The right fist closes to a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V), while your left fist completes its retraction ending horizontally cocked across your lower abdomen, palm down (toward 6:00V), left fist positioned directly on top of the right fist (a.k.a."cup and saucer position").

 

b)Step your left foot to your left (toward 9:00H) into a left, offset, fighting horse (facing 9:00H), while simultaneously executing a left, vertical, outward block (toward 6:00H) (major) with a right, thrusting, straight punch (toward 9:00H) (major).

 

Note: The offset, fighting horse is positioned such that the feet are offset aligned (toe-heel alignment - like a neutral bow), both feet and body point directly perpendicular to the Point of Reference (like a horse, but with the Point of Reference directly to the side), and with the head turned to look at the Point of Reference (where an imaginary opponent would be - like a neutral bow).

 

c)Execute a left straight thrust punch (toward 9:00H) (major), at chin level, while simultaneously retracting your right fist (toward 3:00H) to your right upper chest region, palm facing upward (toward 12:00V) and knuckles facing to your left (toward 9:00H).

 

d)Execute a right straight thrust punch (toward 9:00H) (major) at chin level, while simultaneously retracting your left fist (toward 3:00H) to your left shoulder region, palm facing toward your right (toward 12:00H).

 

Note: Your left knuckles should try to keep relative line of sight towards 9:00H.

 

e)Execute a left, snapping, vertical punch (toward 9:00H) (at chin level), simultaneously with a left, snapping, side kick (toward 9:00H) (at shin level), while also retracting your right fist (toward 3:00H) to a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

4)

a)Draw your right foot toward your left foot (toward 9:00H) into a right 45 degree cat (facing 12:00H), while simultaneously retracting both of your fists with palms facing each-other (toward 6:00H), to your left side, at hip level.

 

Note: The left fist completes its retraction into a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V), while your right fist completes its retraction ending horizontally cocked across your lower abdomen, palm down (toward 6:00V), right fist positioned directly on top of the left fist (a.k.a."cup and saucer position").

 

Note: The during the retraction of the right foot the left foot should be simultaneously rotated (counter-clockwise H) until on a 45 degree angle (on a 10:30H / 4:30H line) to create proper cat stance foot positioning.

 

b)Step your right foot to your right (toward 3:00H) into a right, offset, fighting horse (facing 3:00H), while simultaneously executing a right, vertical, outward block (toward 6:00H) (major) with a left, thrusting, straight punch (toward 3:00H) (major).

 

Note: The offset, fighting horse is positioned such that the feet are offset aligned (toe-heel alignment - like a neutral bow), both feet and body point directly perpendicular to the Point of Reference (like a horse, but with the Point of Reference directly to the side), and with the head is turned to look at the Point of Reference (where an imaginary opponent would be - like a neutral bow).

Note: Your right knuckles should try to keep relative line of sight towards 3:00H.

 

e)Execute a right, snapping, vertical punch (toward 3:00H) (at chin level), simultaneously with a right, snapping, side kick (toward 3:00H) (at shin level), while also retracting your left fist (toward 9:00H) to a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

5)

a)Draw your left foot toward your right foot (toward 3:00H), into a left 45 degree cat stance (facing 12:00H), while simultaneously retracting both of your fists with palms facing each-other (toward 6:00H), to your right side.

 

Note: The right fist completes its retraction into a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V), while your left fist completes its retraction ending horizontally cocked across your lower abdomen, palm down (toward 6:00V), left fist positioned directly on top of the right fist (a.k.a."cup and saucer position").

 

Note: The during the retraction of the left foot the right foot should be simultaneously rotated (clockwise H) until on a 45 degree angle (on a 1:30H / 7:30H line) to create proper cat stance foot positioning.

 

b)Step your left foot backwards (toward 5:30H) into a left modified rear twist stance (facing 6:00H). Immediately after stabilizing your base, rotate to your left (counter-clockwise H) into a left neutral bow (facing 6:00H), while simultaneously executing a left, hammering, downward block (major) (toward 3:00H) with a right, thrusting, inward block (major) (toward 4:30H) (a.k.a universal block).

 

c)Shift forward (counter-clockwise H) into a left forward bow (facing 6:00H) with a left, thrusting, upward block (major) (toward 12:00V / 6:00H), simultaneously with a right, hammering, forward, diagonally upward, hammer-fist (major) (toward 6:00H / 1:30V).

 

Note: The hammer-fist realistically travels on a vertical rotation downward and away from your body on a perpendicular axis (counter-clockwise V).

 

d)Shift backward (clockwise H) into a left neutral bow (facing 6:00H) with left, overhead claw (major) (toward 6:00H / 6:00V), palm forward (toward 6:00H), simultaneously with a right, outward back-knuckle (major) (toward 7:30H), at head level.

 

Note: The shift should be timed such that it completes at the same time as back-knuckle. Also, the outward back-knuckle should be timed such that it replaces the overhead claw's spacial position (at temple level) as the overhead claw descends to just below chin level (i.e. finger tips just below chin level).

 

e)Execute a left outward back-knuckle (major) (toward 4:30H), at head level, while simultaneously retracting your right fist (toward 6:00H) to your left side, at lower chest level, palm facing you (toward 12:00H).

 

f)Execute a right outward back-knuckle (major) (toward 7:30H), at head level, while simultaneously retracting your left fist (toward 6:00H) to your right side, at lower chest level, palm facing you (toward 12:00H).

 

6)

a)Step your right foot backwards (toward 1:30H) into a right modified rear twist stance (facing 12:00H). Immediately after stabilizing your base, rotate to your right (clockwise H) into a right neutral bow (facing 12:00H), while simultaneously executing a right, hammering, downward block (major) (toward 3:00H) with a left, thrusting, inward block (major) (toward 1:30H) (a.k.a. universal block).

 

b)Shift forward (clockwise H) into a right forward bow (facing 12:00H) with a right, thrusting, upward block (major) (toward 12:00V / 12:00H), simultaneously with a left, hammering, forward, diagonally upward, hammer-fist (major) (toward 12:00H / 1:30V).

 

Note: The hammer-fist realistically travels on a vertical rotation downward and away from your body on a perpendicular axis (clockwise V).

 

c)Shift backward (counter-clockwise H) into a right neutral bow (facing 12:00H) with right, overhead claw (major) (toward 12:00H / 6:00V), palm forward (toward 12:00H), simultaneously with a left, outward back-knuckle (major) (toward 10:30H), at head level.

 

Note: The shift should be timed such that it completes at the same time as back-knuckle. Also, the outward back-knuckle should be timed such that it replaces the overhead claw's spacial position (at temple level) as the overhead claw descends to just below chin level (i.e. finger tips just below chin level).

 

d)Execute a right outward back-knuckle (major) (toward 1:30H), at head level, while simultaneously retracting your left fist (toward 6:00H) to your right side, at lower chest level, palm facing you (toward 6:00H).

 

e)Execute a left outward back-knuckle (major) (toward 10:30H), at head level, while simultaneously retracting your right fist (toward 6:00H) to your left side, at lower chest level, palm facing you (toward 6:00H).

 

7)

a)From your previous position, step your right foot (toward 10:30H) into a right modified reverse bow (facing 4:30H), while maintaining the position of you arms (body fusion). Immediately after stabilizing your base, rotate (counter-clockwise H) into a left neutral bow (facing 4:30H) with a right, double factor, inside downward, block (minor) (toward 1:30H), palm up (toward 12:00V) - while simultaneously cocking your left fist (toward 7:30H) to your right hip region, palm up (toward 12:00V). Without any loss of motion, settle (toward 6:00V) into a left neutral bow (facing 4:30H) with a left, hammering, downward block (major) (toward 1:30H), while simultaneously retracting your right fist (toward 10:30H) to a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

Note: The above moves should be executed to maximize torque for the downward block with emphasis on the left downward block (the major) not the inside, downward block (the minor).

 

b)Without any loss of motion from the previous move, execute a left, thrusting, inverted, vertical, back-knuckle (major) (toward 7:30H).

 

c)Shift forward (counter-clockwise H) into a left forward bow (facing 4:30H) with a right, thrusting, straight punch (major) (toward 4:30H), at solar plexus level, while simultaneously retracting your left fist (toward 10:30H) to a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

d)Execute a right, snapping, step through, ball kick (major) (toward 4:30H), at groin level, with a left, thrusting straight punch (major) (toward 4:30H), at solar plexus level, simultaneously with the retraction of your right fist (toward 10:30H) to a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V). Without any loss of motion from the previous moves, plant (toward 6:00V) your right foot forward (toward 4:30H) into a modified right forward bow (facing 4:30H).

 

e)Immediately after stabilizing your base, shift (counter-clockwise H) into a right fighting horse (facing 4:30H) with a right, thrusting, vertical punch (major) (toward 4:30H), at rib height, while simultaneously retracting your left fist (toward 10:30H) to a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

Note: The vertical punch should be executed such that the forearm remains relatively parallel to the ground with the elbow being backed up by your ribs.

 

Note: The rotation into the fighting horse should also rotate the front leg, creating a buckling effect. This buckle would be directed against an opponent's forward knee/shin - thus creating a two-in-one timing with the punch.

 

8)

a)From your previous position, step your right foot (toward 7:30H) into a right neutral bow (facing 7:30H) with a left, double factor, inside downward block (minor) (toward 10:30H), palm up (toward 12:00V), while simultaneously cocking your right fist (toward 4:30H) to your left hip region, palm up (toward 12:00V).  Without any loss of motion, settle (toward 6:00V) into a right neutral bow (facing 7:30H) with a right, hammering, downward block (major) (toward 10:30H), while simultaneously retracting your left fist (toward 1:30H) to a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

Note: The above moves should be executed to maximize torque for the downward block.

 

b)Without any loss of motion from the previous move, execute a right, thrusting, inverted, vertical, back-knuckle (major) (toward 4:30H).

 

c)Shift forward (clockwise H) into a right forward bow (facing 7:30H) with a left, thrusting, straight punch (major) (toward 7:30H), at solar plexus level, while simultaneously retracting your right fist (toward 1:30H) to a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

d)Execute a left, snapping, step through, ball kick (major) (toward 7:30H), at groin level, with a right, thrusting straight punch (major) (toward 7:30H), at solar plexus level, simultaneously with the retraction of your left fist (toward 1:30H) to a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V). Without any loss of motion from the previous moves, plant (toward 6:00V) your left foot forward (toward 7:30H) into a modified right forward bow (facing 7:30H).

 

e)Immediately after stabilizing your base, shift (clockwise H) into a left fighting horse (facing 7:30H) with a left, thrusting, vertical punch (major) (toward 7:30H), at rib height, while simultaneously retracting your right fist (toward 1:30H) to a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

Note: The vertical punch should be executed such that the forearm remains relatively parallel to the ground with the elbow being backed up by your ribs.

Without any loss of motion from the previous maneuver, plant (toward 6:00V) your left foot forward (toward 1:30H) into a left front twist (facing 1:30H).

 

b)Immediately after stabilizing your base, step through forward with your right foot (toward 1:30H) into a right neutral bow (facing 1:30H) with a right uppercut punch (minor) (toward 12:00V / 1:30H), at chin level, while simultaneously retracting your left fist (toward 7:30H) to a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V). Without any loss of motion (sophisticated basic), execute a right, thrusting, upward horizontal forearm strike (major) (toward 12:00V / 1:30H), palm forward (toward 3:00V / 1:30H), at chin level.

 

c)Execute of a left, thrusting, vertical two-finger poke (major) (towards 1:30H), at eye level, while maintaining the position of your right arm.

 

d-1)While maintaining the shape (vertical, two-finger poke), position (extended), and directionality (fingers pointing towards 1:30H) of your left hand, retract your right hand (toward 7:30H) to your right upper chest region by bending your right elbow directly downward (toward 6:00V) at the elbow (i.e. anchored) with the simultaneous closing of your right hand to a vertical, two-finger poke formation (toward 1:30H / 3:00V), in preparation for the next move (Line of Sight).

 

d-2)Immediately, execute a right, thrusting, vertical two-fingered poke (major) (toward 1:30H) with the retraction of your left hand (toward 7:30H) to your left upper chest region - while also maintaining the left hand's shape (vertical, two-finger poke) and directionality (fingers pointing towards 1:30H), in preparation for the next move (Line of Sight).

 

e)Execute a left, thrusting, vertical two-fingered poke (major) (toward 1:30H) with the retraction of your right hand (toward 7:30H) to the right upper chest region (back to its original position) - while also maintaining the shape (vertical, two-finger poke) and directionality (fingers pointing towards 1:30H) of the right hand.

 

10)

a)Execute a right, thrusting, instep (arch) kick (major) (toward 10:30H), at shin level with a right, hammering, close-fist half-knuckle strike (major) (toward 10:30H / 7:30V), at nose level, while simultaneously retracting your left fist (toward 7:30H) to a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V). Without any loss of motion from the previous maneuver, plant (toward 6:00V) your right foot forward (toward 10:30H) into a right front twist (facing 10:30H).

 

b)Immediately after stabilizing your base, step through forward with your left foot (toward 10:30H) into a left neutral bow (facing 10:30H) with a left uppercut punch (minor) (toward 12:00V / 10:30H), at chin level, while simultaneously retracting your right fist (toward 4:30H) to a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V). Without any loss of motion (sophisticated basic), execute a left, thrusting, upward horizontal forearm strike (major) (toward 12:00V / 10:30H), palm forward (toward 9:00V / 10:30H), at chin level.

 

c)Execute of a right, thrusting, vertical two-finger poke (major) (towards 10:30H), at eye level, while maintaining the position of your left arm.

 

d-1)While maintaining the shape (vertical, two-finger poke), position (extended), and directionality (fingers pointing towards 10:30H) of your right hand, retract your left hand (toward 4:30H) to your left upper chest region by bending your left elbow directly downward (toward 6:00V) at the elbow (i.e. anchored) with the simultaneous closing of your left hand to a vertical, two-finger poke formation (toward 10:30H / 9:00V), in preparation for the next move (Line of Sight).

 

d-2)Immediately, execute a left, thrusting, vertical two-fingered poke (major) (toward 10:30H) with the retraction of your right hand (toward 4:30H) to your right upper chest region - while also maintaining the right hand's shape (vertical, two-finger poke) and directionality (fingers pointing towards 10:30H), in preparation for the next move (Line of Sight).

 

e)Execute a right, thrusting, vertical two-fingered poke (major) (toward 10:30H) with the retraction of your left hand (toward 4:30H) to the left upper chest region (back to its original position) - while also maintaining the shape (vertical, two-finger poke) and directionality (fingers pointing towards 10:30H) of the left hand.

 

11)

a)Step your left foot (passing behind the right leg) backward (toward 4:30H) into a right front twist (facing 10:30H), with a left, hammering, inside downward palm up (toward 1:30V) block (major) (toward 4:30H), while simultaneously retracting your right fist (toward 4:30H) to a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

b)Unwind (counter-clockwise H) into a right neutral bow (facing 10:30H) with a right, snapping vertical punch (major) (toward 10:30H), at lower rib level, while simultaneously retracting your left fist (toward 4:30H) to a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

12)

a)Step your right foot (passing behind the left leg) backward (toward 4:30H) into a left front twist (facing 10:30H), with a right, hammering inside downward palm up (toward 1:30V) block (major) (toward 4:30H), while simultaneously retracting your left fist (toward 4:30H) to a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

b)Unwind (clockwise H) into a left neutral bow (facing 10:30H) with a left, snapping vertical punch (major) (toward 10:30H), at lower rib level, while simultaneously retracting your right fist (toward 4:30H) to a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

13)

a)Step your right foot to your left (toward 7:30H) (clockwise H) into a left neutral bow (facing 1:30H) with a left, hammering, inside downward palm down (toward 7:30V) block (major) (toward 4:30H), while maintaining the position of your right arm (chambered).

 

b)Without any loss of motion from the previous move, continue the circular path (counter-clockwise V) of your left fist until completely vertical, fist upward (toward 12:00V) and palm facing you (toward 7:30H),

 

Note: The above move should be executed using the elbow as the primary pivot point. Therefore, the elbow should maintain the same relative position throughout the entire move. This move should resemble the execution of a vertical outward block.

 

c)Without any loss of motion from the previous move, execute a left, snapping, vertical back-knuckle thrust (minor) (toward 1:30H / 1:30V), at face level.

 

Note: The position of your right arm should remain unchanged (chambered) throughout the execution of all of the above maneuvers in this section.

 

14)

a)Left step through reverse (toward 7:30H) into a right neutral bow (facing 1:30H) with a right, hammering, inside downward palm down (toward 7:30V) block (major) (toward 10:30H), while simultaneously retracting your left fist (toward 7:30H) to a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

b)Without any loss of motion from the previous move, continue the circular path (clockwise V) of your right fist until completely vertical, fist upward (toward 12:00V) and palm facing you (toward 7:30H),

 

Note: The above move should be executed using the elbow as the primary pivot point. Therefore, the elbow should maintain the same relative position throughout the entire move. This move should resemble the execution of a vertical outward block.

 

c)Without any loss of motion from the previous move, execute a right, snapping, vertical back-knuckle thrust (minor) (toward 1:30H / 1:30V), at face level.

 

Note: The position of your left arm should remain unchanged (chambered) throughout the execution of all of the above maneuvers in this section.

 

15)

a)Rotate forward (clockwise H) into a right forward bow (facing 1:30H) with a left push-down block (major) (toward 1:30H / 6:00V), at groin level, while simultaneously retracting your right fist (toward 7:30H) to a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

b)Immediately, rotate (clockwise H) forward into a right front twist (facing 1:30H), while simultaneously allowing your left arm to cock across your body (toward 7:30H).

 

Note: The above move should be executed using body fusion. Therefore, the arm is cocked by the rotation of the body.

 

c)Left step through forward (toward 1:30H) into a left neutral bow (facing 1:30H) with a left, hammering, outward, overhead elbow (major) (toward 1:30H / 6:00V), at face level.

 

d)Without any loss of motion, settle (toward 6:00V) into the left neutral bow (facing 1:30H) with a left, hammering, overhead claw (major), palm forward (toward 1:30H), at face level.

 

Note: The above move is executed by extending the elbow, lowering the strike with the shoulder, and settling into the stance - simultaneously. With each motion listed in the order of its contribution to the power generation of the strike respectively.

 

Note: Once the right arm is chambered at the beginning of this section it maintains the same relative position throughout the execution of the entire section.

 

16)

a)Rotate forward (counter-clockwise H) into a left forward bow (facing 1:30H) with a right push-down block (major) (toward 1:30H / 6:00V), at groin level, while simultaneously retracting your left fist (toward 7:30H) to a left chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

b)Immediately, rotate (counter-clockwise H) forward into a left front twist (facing 1:30H), while simultaneously allowing your right arm to cock across your body (toward 7:30H).

 

Note: The above move should be executed using body fusion. Therefore, the arm is cocked by the rotation of the body.

 

c)Right step through forward (toward 1:30H) into a right neutral bow (facing 1:30H) with a right, hammering, outward, overhead elbow (major) (toward 1:30H / 6:00V), at face level.

 

d)Without any loss of motion, settle (toward 6:00V) into the right neutral bow (facing 1:30H) with a right, hammering, overhead claw (major), palm forward (toward 1:30H), at face level.

 

Note: The above move is executed by extending the elbow, lowering the strike with the shoulder, and settling into the stance - simultaneously. With each motion listed in the order of its contribution to the power generation of the strike respectively.

 

Note: Once the left arm is chambered at the beginning of this section it maintains the same relative position throughout the execution of the entire section.

 

17)

a)Rotate forward (clockwise H) into a right forward bow (facing 1:30H) with a left push-down block (major) (toward 1:30H / 6:00V), at groin level, while simultaneously retracting your right fist (toward 7:30H) to a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).

 

b)Immediately, rotate (clockwise H) forward into a right front twist (facing 1:30H), while simultaneously allowing your left arm to cock across your body (toward 7:30H).

 

Note: The above move should be executed using body fusion. Therefore, the arm is cocked by the rotation of the body.

 

c)Left step through forward (toward 1:30H) into a left neutral bow (facing 1:30H) with a left, hammering, outward, overhead elbow (major) (toward 1:30H / 6:00V), at face level.

Note: The left arm should maintain its vertical alignment and move simultaneously with the body's rotation (i.e. body fusion).

 

b)Rotate backward (clockwise H) into a left neutral bow (facing 1:30H) with a left, hammering, vertical, inside forearm strike (major) (toward 3:00H), while simultaneously retracting your right fist (toward 7:30H) to a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V).
