The inside-downward, palm down block sequence is as follows:
1) | Step your right foot to your left into a left neutral bow with a left, hammering, inside downward palm down block, while simultaneously retracting the right arm to a right chambered position |
2) | Without any loss of motion, continue the circular path of your left arm until completely vertical and immediately execute a left, snapping, vertical back-knuckle thrust, to face level |
3) | Step backward with your left foot and repeat the sequence on the opposite side (toward 1:30H) |
An analysis of this sequence exposes the following information:
•the sequence uses one-in-one timing
•it demonstrates circular to linear motion with the same hand (where circles end-lines begin)
•it demonstrates sophisticated motion utilizing the first (block) and second (strike) maneuvers
•the sophisticated motion is demonstrated is the entire sequence
•both sides of the sequence combined complete a circular path (vertically)
•it shows the reverse circular path of the Downward Block sequence
•it demonstrates retreating on the minor angle ('x')
•it covers only the lower left part of the minor angles ('x')
•it uses two-in-one timing
An analysis of this maneuver exposes the following information:
•the (first) block demonstrates Point of Origin from the previous sequence
An analysis of this maneuver exposes the following information:
•combined with the previous maneuver demonstrates sophisticated motion
