What's the difference between isolating power principles and an isolation?

Isolation moves are another form of call-out or highlighted maneuvers. They are designed to visually and physically isolate specific maneuvers such that they stand out in a form. The purpose of this is to draw attention to the maneuvers, so that the initiated practitioner is subtly directed to analyze these maneuvers further for the purpose of exposing their true meaning in the form.

An isolation maneuver shows one or more of the following:

i) previews of things to come

ii) new information

iii) missing information

On the other hand, Isolating Power Principles is a specialized way of maneuvering such that a specific Power Principle is highlighted. The purpose of this is to draw attention to the isolated Power Principle for further analysis. These type of maneuvers are not tied to the three (3) purposes with which an isolation is limited.

Although both terms are similar in definition, they are very different in purpose and practice. This can be quickly shown by comparing the isolation of Long Form One with maneuvers isolating the Power Principles in Short / Long Form Two.
