Foot Maneuver Errors

a) not obeying Economy of Motion principle / Create a stable base rule:

i) not stepping correctly:

1) not stepping with correct foot

2) not stepping directly to new location

3) splitting the stance (moving both feet, instead of one)

ii) creating too many adjustments with feet

iii) bouncing up and down while executing foot maneuver or stationary

 

b) improper pivoting:

i) rotating on the heel instead of the ball of the foot

ii) rotating the incorrect foot - i.e. the wrong (or both feet)

iii) under / over rotating - not rotating to the proper new angle

iv) not properly rotating the upper body with the lower body

 

c) jet legging (splitting timing of lower/upper body – i.e. creating distance with feet first and then the upper body)
