Category Completion - Example

The category has been determined as follows (boundaries): all downward blocks - executed as a block (not a parry) - with the hand closed. From these boundaries (category), one should deduce there are four (4) possible types of blocks:

oInside-Downward, Palm Down

oInside-Downward, Palm Up

oOutside-Downward, Palm Down

oOutside-Downward, Palm Up

In practice, one should further deduce that one of the blocks is non-useful - the Outside-Downward, Palm Up block. This is due to the limitations of human physical anatomy. This fourth block just can not be executed effectively. So, one should omit it from the demonstration of the category. This is exactly what is accomplished in the isolation of Long Form One. Of the three remaining downward blocks to be demonstrated, two are executed in the form - with the third being Purposefully Omitted.
