Situation
You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H) with your arms at your side (toward 6:00V), while the opponent (at 12:00H) (facing 6:00H) executes a front bear hug, arms free, to your upper abdomen.
1)
Raise (toward 12:00V) your left hand, fingers toward you (toward 6:00H), using the elbow as the pivot point (anchored elbow), onto the opponent’s right shoulder (positioned check), while simultaneously raising your right arm (toward 12:00H), using the shoulder as the pivot point, in an outward arch (counter clockwise V) (positioned cock), palm toward you (toward 9:00H), in preparation for the next move. Immediately, step to the left (toward 9:00H) with your left foot into a left horse (facing 12:00H) (stable base) with the downward (toward 6:00V) pull of your left hand onto the opponent’s right shoulder (pressing check), while simultaneously delivering a right downward (toward 6:00V) elbow onto the opponent’s left upper forearm (major) with a right inward downward diagonal (toward 7:30V) (toward 9:00H) heel-palm strike, fingers upward (toward 12:00V), to the opponent’s left cheek bone (major).
Note
The downward pull of your left hand (height check) should be timed to coincide with the settle into the horse (directional harmony), while the downward right elbow strike should be timed to occur at the end of the settle into the horse, so that the opponent’s body is no longer moving in the same direction of (away from) the strike (toward 6:00V). The right heel-palm strike should be delivered a manner such that it does not detract from the path of travel of the elbow strike.
The right downward elbow strike should be executed by using the elbow, along with the shoulder, as the pivot points of the arch, causing the path of travel of you right arm to effectively cut the circle in half vertically.
Result
The opponent’s weight should be forced onto their right foot (by the downward pull of your left arm), canceling their ability to use their right leg in an offensive manner against your current stance (straddle the paddle). The left side of the opponent’s bear hug should be broken (by the right downward elbow), forcing the opponent’s left arm to their side (toward 6:00V). The opponent’s head should be forced downward (toward 7:30V) and to your left (toward 9:00H) (by the right heel-palm), enhancing the weight transfer onto their right foot.
2)
Without any loss of motion from the previous moves, draw your right foot toward your left foot (toward 9:00H) into a modified transitory left one-legged stance (facing 12:00H) (positioned cock), with the continued circle (counter clockwise V) of your right arm (toward 4:30V) (positioned cock), in preparation for the next move, while simultaneously maintaining the downward pull (toward 6:00V) of your left hand (pressing check). Continuing from the previous motions, step your right foot to your right (toward 3:00H), delivering a right leg sweep (toward 3:00H) to the back of the opponent’s right leg (minor), with the rotation (counter clockwise H) (toward 9:00H) of your stance into a left forward bow (toward 9:00H), while simultaneously delivering a right upward inward diagonal (toward 10:30V) (toward 9:00H) heel-palm (opposing forces), fingers upward (toward 12:00H), to the chin of the opponent (major). Simultaneously with the previous moves, change the shape of your left hand into a left “shape of crane”, palm downward (toward 6:00V) - fingers toward your right (toward 1:30H), with your left elbow remaining anchored (toward 6:00V).
Note
As the opponent is forced backward (toward 9:00H), the shape of your left hand will form a guide through which the opponent’s right arm may slide in a checked manner.
Only allow the opponent’s right arm to slip through your left hand to the wrist.
Result
The opponent’s lower body should be thrust to the right (toward 3:00H) while the upper body is thrust to the left (toward 9:00H), causing the opponent to collapse (toward 6:00V) to the ground, face up (toward 12:00V) (body on the 9:00H-3:00H line), with the left arm extended downward (toward 6:00V) in an attempt to break the fall, while the right arm extends upward (toward 12:00V), prevented from moving by your left hand.
3)
Immediately, grab the opponent’s right wrist with your left and right hands (detaining check), left on top and palm toward the right (toward 12:00H) - right on the bottom and palm toward the left (toward 6:00H), while simultaneously raising (toward 12:00V) your right foot, in preparation for the next move. Without any loss of motion, deliver a right downward thrusting stomp heel kick (toward 6:00V) to the opponent’s bottom right lower jaw area (fitting) (major), while simultaneously pulling upward (toward 12:00V) on the opponent’s right arm with both of your arms (opposing forces).
Note
The grab to the opponent’s arms should be done with thumbs closest to your body (toward 3:00H) and fingers furthest away (toward 9:00H).
Result
The opponent’s head should be forced downward (toward 6:00V), but prevented from moving very much by the upward (toward 12:00V) pull to the opponent’s right arm, while the opponent’s left arm begins to cover the jaw area.
4)
Draw your right foot toward your left (toward 7:30H) (toward 10:00V) (diversified angle of retraction), delivering a left instep sweep kick to the inside of the opponent’s right upper arm area (major). Continue the motion stepping through (toward 7:30) with your right foot, while simultaneously releasing the grab to the opponent’s right arm, but maintaining defenses with both hands (positioned cover), palm down (toward 6:00V) and fingers forward (toward 9:00H).
Result
The opponent’s right arm should be thrust to the left (toward 7:30H), but prevented from moving very much by your double grab to the wrist, which should cause the arm to severely disconnect from the shoulder.
After the release of your grab the opponent’s right arm should drop (toward 6:00V) lifelessly to the floor, with the left hand attempting to cover the right shoulder area.
5)
Raise (toward 12:00V) your left hand to your right solar plexus (positioned cover), palm forward (toward 10:30H), simultaneously with the raise (toward 12:00V) of your right arm to a vertical blocking position (toward 10:30H), while continuing the motion of your previous moves, crossing out and covering (toward 7:30H).
