Situation
You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H) with both of your arms at your side (toward 6:00V) with the opponent (at 6:00H) (facing 12:00H) applying a rear bear hug, arms pinned (below the elbows), to your lower abdominal area.
1)
Shift your left open hand (counter clockwise V), behind your left buttock area, palm away from you (toward 6:00H), immediately followed with a step back (toward 6:00 H) with your left foot, into a right neutral bow (toward 12:00H) (stable base) while, if possible, raising (toward 10:30V) your right hand, pinning (toward 6:00H) both the opponent's hands to your body (pinning check), palm facing you (toward 6:00H). Once settled into the neutral bow, immediately close your left hand, squeezing the opponent’s groin (minor).
Note
If you were not able to create a pin to the opponent’s hands on the first series of motions, continue to attempt to do so as the technique progresses, until the pin can be established.
Result
The opponent’s grab should be loosened considerably as both hands attempt to cover the groin area, but are prevented from doing so by the pin of your right hand.
2)
Step your left foot forward (toward 1:00H) into a left transitory close, modified forward bow (toward 1:00H), while maintaining both the left hand grab to the opponent’s groin and right hand pin to both the opponent’s hands.
Result
The opponent should be forced to step forward with you (toward 12:00H) into a left neutral bow (toward 12:00H), with the grab now being completely loosened as both hands attempt to cover the groin area, but are still prevented from doing so by the pin of your right hand.
3)
As you complete the step through forward (toward 1:00H), release the grab to the opponent’s groin area, immediately followed by a right rear scoop kick (toward 12:00V) (toward 1:00H) to the opponent’s groin area (major) with the release of the right hand pin to the opponent’s hands, by dropping (toward 6:00V) your right hand to your right side, in preparation for the next series of moves.
Result
The opponent’s grab should now be completely broken, as both hands begin to attempt to cover the groin area, but are obscured from their target by your body (detaining check).
4)
Replant back (toward 7:30H) with a right rear pull-drag (toward 7:30H) into a left forward bow (toward 1:30H), buckling the opponent’s left leg in the process (left stiff leg buckle), with the raise (toward 12:00V) of your left hand to your right solar plexus (positioned check), palm forward (toward 1:30H).
Result
The opponent’s left leg and lower body should be forced backward (toward 7:30H), while the upper body maintains its same relative spatial position, causing the opponent to lean forward (toward 12:00H).
5)
As you finish the settle into the left forward bow (toward 1:30H), immediately, deliver a right thrusting back obscure vertical elbow strike (toward 12:00V), palm down (toward 6:00 H), to the opponent’s chin (major).
Result
The opponent’s upper body should be thrust upward (toward 12:00V) and back (toward 7:00H) and collapse to the ground (toward 6:00V) (body on the 7:00H – 1:00H line), face up (toward 12:00)
6)
Retract your right arm (toward 6:00V) into a right inverted vertical blocking position (positioned cover). Immediately, cross out and cover (toward 1:00H).
