Your are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H) with both of your arms at your side (toward 6:00H), while the opponent (at 12:00H) (facing 6:00H) executes a right round-house (counter clockwise H) club attack (toward 4:30H) to your right side of head, while stepping forward (toward 6:00H) with their right foot.

1a)
|
Step backward with your left foot (toward 7:30H) into a right neutral bow (toward 1:30H) (zone of sanctuary) while simultaneously raising both your arms (toward 12:00H) to vertical blocking positions (head high) in front of your body (toward 10:30H), palms facing each other (left toward 1:30H and right toward 7:30H).

The raising of your arms should be done using your elbows as the major pivot point.

Result
|
The opponent’s initial attack should pass safely in front of your body.

|
You may need to lean your upper body toward your left (toward 7:30H) slightly in order for the club to pass by with a safe margin for error.

The opponent, realizing that the first strike did not make contact, reverses the line of attack, executing a right outward round-house (clockwise H) club attack (toward 7:30H) to your right side of head.

Left step through forward (toward 1:30H) into a left neutral bow (toward 1:30H) (positioned cover) (stable base) with an uppercase left thrusting inward block (toward (1:30H), to the outside of the opponent’s triceps area, simultaneous with an uppercase right thrusting inward block (toward 1:30H), to the outside of the opponent’s right upper forearm area.

The double block should try to make contact with the opponent’s right arm as soon as possible on the arc of the swing, and, at most, allow the arm to make it to the 45 degree line (10:30H - 4:30H).

1c)
|
Immediately, convert your right blocking arm into a right wrist grab to the opponent’s right outer wrist, palm away from you (toward 4:30H) and fingers upward (toward 12:00V). Without any loss of motion, right step through reverse (toward 10:30H) into a right neutral bow (toward 4:30H) with the downward diagonal press (toward 4:30V) (toward 4:30H) of your left forearm onto the opponent’s right triceps area, simultaneously with the upward diagonal pull (toward 10:30V) (toward 10:30H) of your right hand to the opponent’s right wrist (fulcrum), causing the opponent’s right arm to hyper-extend.

The opponent should be forced to left step through forward (toward 4:30H), while simultaneously being force to bend forward (toward 4:30H) (toward 4:30V) at the waist, and rotate (counter clockwise V) slightly toward you (toward 10:30H), in order to relieve the pressure to the right elbow.

Raising (toward 10:30V) (toward 10:30H) your right hand and lowering (toward 7:30V) (toward 4:30H) your left arm in opposition to one another will vary the amount of pressure applied to the opponent’s right elbow joint.

Immediately, deliver a right thrusting upward diagonal (toward 4:30H) (toward 1:30V) front ball-kick to the opponent’s chest area (major) with the direct pull (toward 10:30H) (toward 9:00V) of the opponent’s right arm with your right arm past your right hip (opposing forces), while simultaneously shifting (toward 10:30H) your left open hand, palm down (toward 6:00H) and finger to your right (toward 7:30H), to the opponent’s right elbow (pressing check).

Have your left arm and hand maintain contact with the opponent’s right arm at all times.

Result
|
The opponent’s body should be forced backward (toward 4:30V) and up (toward 1:30V), but prevented from moving substantially by the grab and pull to the right arm, while the left hand begins to cover the chest area.

|
Step forward with your right foot (toward 4:30H) (gauge) into a transitory right forward bow (toward 4:30H) with a right upward diagonal (toward 1:30V) back-knuckle (toward 4:30H), palm down (toward 6:00V) to the opponent’s face area (major).

Result
|
Opponent’s body should be thrust back (toward 4:30H) and up (toward 1:30V), collapsing to the ground (toward 6:00V), face down (toward 6:00V) (body on the 7:30H – 1:30H line).

4)
|
Shift (counter clockwise H) back (toward 10:30H) into a right neutral bow (toward 4:30H) with the retraction (toward 10:30H) of your right arm to a right vertical blocking position (positioned cover), while simultaneously retracting (toward 12:00V) your left hand to your right solar plexus (positioned cover), palm forward (toward 4:30H), and maintaining your other defenses (positioned covers).
