Situation
You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H), bent forward at the waist (toward 12:00H) with both arms hanging naturally (toward 6:00V), while the opponent (at 9:00H) (facing 12:00H) applies a right arm, flank headlock.
1)
Step forward, with your right foot (toward 11:00H), into a right wide kneel (toward 11:00H) (stable base), dropping your left knee onto the outside back of the opponent's right knee (pressing check) with a left hammering inside downward diagonal (toward 12:00H) (toward 4:30V) hammer-fist strike to the opponent’s right kidney (minor), simultaneously with a right thrusting inside upward diagonal (toward 6:00H) (toward 10:30V) hammer-fist strike to the opponent’s groin (minor) (sandwich), while also turning your head (clockwise V) (toward 9:00V) and tucking your chin to your left shoulder, on the inside of the opponent's right wrist.
Note
The force of the left hammer-fist strike should be enhanced by the drop into your right wide kneel.
The tuck of your chin should stop the opponent’s right arm from choking you.
Result
The opponent's right leg should buckle forward (toward 12:00H) and down (toward 4:30V) at the knee, while the lock from the opponent's right arm should begin to loosen in reaction to the strikes.
2)
Track your left hand, palm down (toward 12:00V), up the opponent’s back, over the opponent’s head, and down the opponent’s face, where you execute a left two-finger hook (utilizing the middle and index fingers) to the opponent’s philtrum (the area just under the opponent’s nose), while your left elbow remains resting on the opponent’s spin. Immediately, peel the opponent off of you (toward 6:00H) and down (toward 7:30V) (counter clockwise V), as you maintain contact to the opponent’s spin with your left elbow, while simultaneously shifting backward (toward 6:00H) (counter clockwise H) into a left forward bow (toward 6:00H) with a right thrusting straight heel palm (toward 6:00H), fingers upward (toward 12:00V), to the opponent’s chin (major).
Note
The peel of the opponent’s head backward should be executed such that your left elbow is used as the fulcrum point, with your left elbow braced by the pressure being exerted onto the opponent’s back.
Result
The opponent’s upper body should be thrust backward (toward 6:00H), with the headlock completely broken.
Tip
As the opponent’s body is thrust backward (toward 6:00H), change the shape of your left hand into the “shape of the crane” (toward 9:00H), palm down (toward 6:00V), with your left elbow remaining anchored (toward 6:00V), while maintaining your other defenses (positioned cover).
Note
As the opponent is forced backward (toward 6:00H), the above maneuvers form a guide through which the opponent’s right arm may slide in a checked manner.
3)
Shift backward (clockwise H) (toward 12:00H) into a left neutral bow (toward 6:00H), as your retract (toward 12:00H) your left arm to a vertical blocking position (positioned cover), while simultaneously retracting your right hand (toward 12:00H) (toward 4:30V) to your left solar plexus (positioned cover), palm forward (toward 6:00H), and maintaining your other defenses (positioned cover).
4)
Cross out and cover (toward 10:30H).
