Situation
You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H) with your left arm at your side (toward 6:00H), while the opponent (at 12:00H) (facing 6:00H) applies a right hand shake to your right hand.
1)
Raise your left hand (toward 12:00V), delivering a left inward middle-knuckle strike (minor) (toward 3:00H) to the middle of the back of the opponent’s right hand (minor). Immediately after contact with the strike, step forward (toward 12:00H) into a right neutral bow (facing 12:00H) with a right thrusting inward elbow strike (major) (toward 12:00H) to the solar plexus area of the opponent (major), palm facing toward you (toward 4:30 H), while simultaneously converting the middle-knuckle strike into a left grab to the opponent’s wrist and hand, fingers around the inside of wrist – thumb on the back of the opponent’s hand, in preparation for the next move.
Note
The above series of moves should be executed with minimal delay between each strike.
Result
The opponent’s upper body should begin to bend forward (toward 6:00H), with their left hand beginning to attempt to cover their solar plexus area.
2)
Use the disruption to the opponent created by the previous moves to release the handshake to your right hand, while also delivering a right upward flapping elbow strike (minor) (toward 12:00V) to the bottom of the opponent’s chin (minor); while simultaneously rotating (counter-clockwise V) your left hand to deliver a left outward wrist lock to the opponent’s right wrist, palm forward (toward 12:00H).
Note
After the execution of the above moves, your right arm should end up with your right palm facing the back of the opponent’s right hand (toward 12:00H), with fingers pointing to your left (toward 9:00H), in preparation for the next move.
The application of the left wrist lock should stay within the boundaries of the outer rim, and is meant to control the width and depth zones of the opponent (contact manipulation) – not take them to the ground.
Result
The opponent's upper body and head should be thrust up (toward 12:00V) and back (toward 12:00H), while the wrist lock should begin to force the opponent’s upper body toward their right (toward 9:00H).
3a)
Immediately, grab the back of the opponent’s right hand with your right hand, in preparation for the next move.
Note
The grab should be executed with minimal movement of you right arm.
3b)
Step back with you right foot (toward 6:00H) into a left neutral bow (toward 12:00H); while simultaneously yanking the opponent’s right arm back (toward 4:30H) and down (toward 4:30V) with your right hand, ending palm up (toward 12:00V) at your right hip area; along with the rotation (counter-clockwise) of your left hand, palm up (toward 12:00) and fingers to your right (toward 3:00H), into a left wrist grab to the opponent’s right wrist.
Note
The rotation (counter-clockwise) of your left hand should be executed such that your left thumb (pivot point) maintains contact to the back of the opponent’s right hand as long as possible.
Result
The opponent’s upper body should be forced forward (toward 4:30H) and downward (toward 4:30V), bending at the waist (control height zone), while their right arm is extended toward you (toward 4:30H), palm up (toward 12:00V).
4a)
Without and loss of motion from the previous moves, let go of the opponent’s right hand, with your right hand, allowing your right hand and arm to cock at your right hip area, palm forward (toward 12:00H) and finger down (toward 6:00V), in preparation for the next move.
4b)
Immediately, deliver a right heel-palm strike to the back of the opponent’s right hand (minor), palm forward (toward 12:00H) and fingers up (toward 12:00V), allowing the strike to pass through the hand of the opponent, and continue forward (toward 12:00H) into a right downward (toward 6:00H) heel-palm pressing strike (minor), palm downward (toward 6:00V) and fingers forward (toward 12:00H), to the back of the opponent’s right elbow area.
Note
Your right hand should end up with downward (toward 6:00V) pressure being applied to the back of the opponent’s right elbow, preventing the opponent from straightening to a normal standing position.
Result
The opponent’s body should be prevented from moving any significant amount by the pressure being applied to the back of their right elbow.
5)
Deliver a right rising (toward 12:00V), thrusting ball kick (major) to the opponent’s sternum area (toward 12:00V).
Result
The opponent’s body should continue to be prevented from moving any significant amount by the pressure being applied to the back of their right elbow.
6)
Immediately, return your right foot back to its original position (toward 6:00H), while maintaining your other defenses (pressing / grabbing / detaining checks).
7)
Release the grab and pressure to the opponent’s right arm and wrist, to cross out and cover (toward 4:30H).
