Situation
You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H) with both of your arms at your side (toward 6:00V), while the opponent (at 12:00H) (facing 6:00H) executes a right step through (toward 6:00H) with a right straight thrust punch (toward 6:00H) to your face area.
1a)
Step forward (toward 11:00H) with your left foot into a left neutral bow (toward 12:00H) (stable base) with a left thrusting inward block (toward 1:30H) to outside of the opponent's right punching arm (meet the punch), while cocking (toward 12:00V) your right arm to a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V), in preparation for the next move.
Note
Your left foot should end up on the outside of the opponent’s right foot (positioned cover), but not beyond the opponent’s right heel.
1b)
Push-drag forward (toward 12:00H) as you simultaneously rotate forward (counter clockwise H) into a left forward bow with a right round-housing inward elbow strike (toward 12:00H), palm down (toward 6:00V), to the opponent's right ribcage area (minor), allowing the rotation of the elbow to travel through the target area (toward 10:30H) (glancing), in preparation for the next move, while simultaneously shifting (toward 6:00H) your left hand over your right shoulder (positioned cover), palm behind you (toward 4:30H) and fingers up (toward 12:00V).
Note
The foot maneuver should place you all the way behind the opponent with your right foot on line with (3:00H – 9:00H line) or slightly behind the opponent’s right foot.
Your right arm and hand should maintain its same spatial position and thus contact with the opponent’s arm (positioned cover) for as long as possible, causing the right hand to cock naturally by the forward momentum of your body (economy of motion).
Result
The opponent's body should rotate (clockwise H) slightly (body on the 10:30H – 4:30H line), arching forward (toward 6:00H), with the both hands beginning to cover the right rib-cage area.
Note
You will need to regulate the contact and power of your right elbow strike to cause the proper rotation of the opponent’s body (i.e. too much power will cause over rotation - too little power will cause under rotation).
1c)
Reverse the rotation of your body (clockwise H) into a fighting horse (toward 4:30H) (stabile base) with a right thrusting upward diagonal outward (toward 1:30V) (toward 4:30H) elbow strike to the opponent’s right shoulder blade area (major), while simultaneously allowing your left hand to shift (toward 6:00V) to your right solar plexus, palm forward (toward 4:30H) (positioned cover).
Note
The cocking of your left hand should be done by letting it maintain the same general spatial position as your body rotates into the horse, minimizing the amount of shifting of the hand (economy of motion).
Result
The opponent's body should be forced slightly forward (toward 4:30H) with the upper body and head arched backward (toward 10:30H) around the point of contact.
2a)
Without any loss of motion from the previous move, deliver a right thrusting upward diagonal outward (toward 1:30V) (toward 4:30H) hand-sword to the opponent’s back of neck (minor), while maintaining your other defenses (positioned cover).
Note
The pivot point for this strike should be isolated to your right elbow.
Result
The backward (toward 1:30H) momentum of the opponent's head should be halted, leaving the opponent in an erect posture with head erect.
2b)
Push-drag forward (toward 4:30H) as you simultaneously rotate forward (clockwise) into a left reverse wide kneel (facing 10:30H) (gauge) with a left inward downward diagonal (toward 4:30V) (toward 4:30H) hand-sword to the back of the opponent’s neck (minor) as you simultaneously shift (toward 4:30V) your right hand onto the top of the opponent’s right arm (pressing check).
Note
The foot maneuver should place you all the way in front of the opponent with your left foot remaining slightly behind the opponent’s right foot and your left shin area pressing against the opponent’s right shin area (pressing check).
Result
The opponent’s head should be forced forward (toward 4:30H) and down (toward 4:30V) with the body still maintaining its relatively erect posture or possibly leaning slightly forward (toward 4:30H) at the waist.
2c)
Reverse the rotation of your body (counter clockwise H) into a left wide kneel (toward 10:30H) with a right upward diagonal inward (toward 10:30V) (toward 10:30H) hand-sword to the opponent’s front of neck (major) while simultaneously shifting your left hand down (toward 4:30V), palm down (toward 7:30V), replacing your right hand (pressing check).
Result
The opponent’s upper body should forced upward (toward 10:30V) and back (toward 10:30H), collapsing (toward 6:00V) to the ground (body on the 10:30H – 4:30H line), face up (toward 12:00V).
3)
Shift back (toward 4:30V) into a left neutral bow (toward 10:30H) with the retraction (toward 4:30H) (toward 4:30V) of your right hand to your left solar plexus (positioned cover), palm forward (toward 10:30H), while simultaneously shifting (toward 12:00V) your left arm to a vertical blocking position (positioned cover). Cross out and cover (toward 4:30H).
