Situation
You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H) with both of your arms at your side (toward 6:00V), while the opponent (at 12:00H) (facing 6:00H) executes a right step through (toward 6:00H) with a right straight thrust punch (toward 6:00H) to your face area.
1a)
Step forward (toward 10:30H) with your left foot into a left transitory neutral bow (toward 12:00H) (stable base) with a left thrusting inward block (toward 1:30H) to outside of the opponent's right arm. Settle (toward 6:00V) into the right neutral bow with a right rising inside forearm strike (toward 7:30H) (toward 9:00V), palm facing forward (toward 12:0H), to the inside of the opponent’s right lower forearm area (minor), hyper-extending (or possibly breaking) the opponent’s right elbow (opposing forces) (minor).
Note
The pivot point for rising your right arm should be mostly the elbow, and to a lesser degree the shoulder.
Pressing (toward 1:30H) your left vertical arm and pulling (toward 7:30H) your right vertical arm in opposition to one another (opposing forces) will vary the amount of pressure applied to the opponent’s right elbow joint.
Result
The opponent's upper body should begin to rotate (counter clockwise) to your right (toward 3:00H) in reaction to the hyper-extension of their right arm, while the left arm begins to attempt to cover the right elbow area.
1b)
Without any loss of motion, continue to rotate your body (clockwise H) into a modified fighting horse (facing 12:00H) as you allow your right arm to continue to retract (toward 7:30H) through and past the opponent’s right forearm in front of (toward 3:00H) and above (toward 12:00V) your right shoulder (positioned cock), palm forward (toward 12:00H) with the continued press (toward 1:30H) (pressing check) of your left arm against the opponent’s right outer arm.
Result
The continued press by your left arm should cause the opponent’s right arm to shift to your right (toward 4:30H), creating an opening for the next movement, while the left arm continues to attempt to cover the right elbow area.
1c)
Immediately, rotate your body forward (counter clockwise H) (toward 12:00H) into a left transitory forward bow (toward 12:00H) with a right inward racking back-knuckle (counter clockwise H) (toward 1:30H) to the opponent’s temple area (major), while continuing to maintain the press (toward 1:30H) with your left arm to the opponent’s right outer arm (pressing check).
Result
The opponent's upper body and head should be force to bend backward (toward 1:30H) at the waist, while both hands beginning to rise (toward 12:00H) in an attempt to cover the face area.
2a)
Without any loss of motion from the previous moves, right step through forward (toward 11:00H) into a right transitory reverse bow (toward 6:00H) with the continued (counter clockwise H) arch of your right arm through and past the opponent’s face area (toward 10:30H), maintaining its position in front of (and no longer above) your right shoulder (toward 10:30H), while simultaneously allowing your left open hand to shift (toward 6:00V) under your right arm pit area, palm to your right (toward 3:00H), maintaining (if possible) the press against the opponent’s right outer arm (pressing check), in preparation for the next motion (positioned cock).
Note
The shift of your left hand should be done such that your arm maintains its same relative spatial position, hanging in air, while your body, stepping through forward (toward 11:00H), moves to it into position under your right arm pit – not visa versa.
2b)
Immediately, rotate (counter clockwise H) into a left transitory neutral bow (toward 5:00H) with the shifting (counter clockwise H) (toward 3:00H) of your right open hand onto the outside of the opponent’s right arm (replacing your left hand), palm against the opponent’s forearm (toward 3:00V). Complete the rotation (counter clockwise) of your body and settle (toward 6:00V) into a left neutral bow (toward 5:00H) with a left thrusting outward back-knuckle strike (toward 3:00H) to the opponent’s right outer rib area (minor), while maintaining the press to the outside of the opponent’s right arm with your right open hand (pressing check).
Note
The right hand should make contact with the opponent’s right outer arm slightly before the contact of the left outward back-knuckle strike.
Result
The opponent’s upper body and head should begin to bend forward and to the side (toward 7:30H) (toward 1:30V) with the right arm beginning to lower (toward 6:00V) in an attempt to cover the right rib area.
3a) Convert your right outward pressing check into a right downward pressing check (toward 6:00V), palm down (toward 6:00V), to the top of the opponent’s right forearm area, as you also rotate (counter clockwise V) your left hand, using the wrist as the primary pivot point), on top of the opponent’s right arm, delivering a left downward (toward 7:30V) back-of-hand striking check (minor) palm up (toward 12:00V), to the opponent’s upper forearm area.
Note
The downward (toward 6:00V) press to the opponent’s right arm with your right hand should be used to set up and aid the more forceful downward (toward 7:30V) contact with the left hand.
The downward (toward 6:00V) press with the right hand should occur slightly before the downward (toward 7:30V) contact with left hand.
3b)
Without any loss of motion from the previous moves, allow your right hand to continue its downward decent (toward 6:00V), past the opponent’s arm, cocking to your right lower hip area (toward 7:00V), fist closed and palm backward (toward 9:00H), in preparation for the next move, while simultaneously settling into your stance (toward 6:00V), into a wide kneel (toward 5:00H), and maintain the left downward press (toward 7:30V) (pressing check) of your left hand.
Note
The settle of your stance, the left downward press of your left hand, and the cocking or your right arm should all be executed such that they all finish their downward movement at the same time.
Tip
If any directional adjustment of the stance is required or desired, to achieve optimal striking angle (for the next move), the settling of the stance should be used to accomplish this goal.
Result
The opponent’s upper body and head should be forced further forward (toward 7:00H) (toward 1:30V), exposing the chin area.
4)
Immediately, reverse the circular rotation or your right arm (clockwise V), delivering a right rising back-knuckle strike (toward 12:00V), to the opponent’s lower chin area (major), palm down (toward 6:00V), while simultaneously rising back into a right neutral bow (facing 3:00H), and maintaining your left downward (toward 7:30V) pressing check to the top of the opponent’s right forearm.
Note
The rise of your stance should be timed to maximize the effect of the back-knuckle strike (confluence of forces).
Result
The opponent’s head and upper body should be forced upward (toward 12:00V) and back (toward 1:00H), collapsing to the ground, face up (toward 12:00V).
5)
Allow your right arm to continue its vertical rotation (clockwise V) back to your left solar plexus area (positioned cover), palm forward (toward 5:00H), while simultaneously retracting your left arm to a left vertical blocking position (positioned cover). Cross out and cover (toward 7:30H).
