Situation
You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H) with your left arm at your side (toward 6:00V) and your right arm, chest high, bent upward (toward 12:00V) in front of your body (toward 12:00H), palm facing you (toward 6:00H) with the opponent (at 12:00H) (facing 6:00H) beginning to apply a figure 4 arm lock your right arm.
Note
The opponent’s left hand should be grabbing your right hand, palm toward you (toward 6:00H), while the right arm wraps over your upper arm (toward 12:00V) and behind your forearm (toward 6:00V) grabbing their own forearm, palm toward you (toward 6:00H), while beginning to apply pressure toward you, to your right side (toward 4:30H), and downward (toward 6:00V), simultaneously.
1a)
Step your right foot forward (toward 11:00H) into a right transitory, reverse forward bow (toward 12:00H) (stable base), while simultaneously bringing your left hand, palm down (toward 6:00V), on top of the back of your right hand (upper hand), to pin both of the opponent’s left hand to the back of your right hand (pinning check). Simultaneously with the previous motions, deliver a right thrusting upward elbow (counter clockwise) (toward 1:30H) (toward 12:00V) to the opponent’s chin area (major).
Result
The opponent’s head and upper body should be thrust upward (toward 10:30H) and back (toward 12:00H), and should attempt to cover their chin with their hands, but your left pinning hand and their arm position should prevent this from happening.
1b)
Continuing the motion from the previous moves, rotate (counter clockwise H) into a right reverse bow (toward 12:00H) with a left back elbow (toward 12:00H) to the opponent’s outer left ribcage area (minor), palm up (toward 12:00V), while simultaneously continuing rotation (counter clockwise V) of your right elbow until traveling downward (toward 6:00V) (anchored), while also converting your right hand into the “shape of crane” position, palm down (toward 6:00V) and fingers to your left (toward 3:00H), on top of the opponent’s right inner wrist area, creating a right arm lock (toward 6:00V) to the opponent’s right arm.
Note
Lowering (toward 6:00V) your right arm and raising (toward 12:00V) your body in opposition to one another will vary the amount of pressure applied to the opponent’s right elbow joint.
Result
The opponent’s grab should now be completely broken while being forced onto the tiptoes to relieve the pressure to the right elbow joint.
2)
Reverse the rotation from the previous moves (clockwise) into a right fighting horse (toward 12:00H) with a right outward elbow strike (toward 12:00H) to the opponent’s sternum (major), palm toward you (toward 3:00H) (toward 3:00V), while simultaneously raising your left hand, to take the place of your right hand, grabbing the opponent’s right wrist, palm down (toward 6:00V) and finger away from you (toward 9:00H), pulling downward (toward 7:30V) and back (toward 6:00H) in opposition to the elbow strike (opposing forces) and continuing to apply pressure (toward 6:00V) to the opponent’s elbow (third hand).
Note
The contact with the opponent’s right elbow should be allowed to shift from your right shoulder to your upper chest area as your body rotates, but contact with your body should be maintained at all times.
Result
The opponent’s body should be prevented from any significant movement by the pin to the right arm.
3)
Retract your right arm to a vertical blocking position (positioned cover) with the release of the opponent’s right hand, shifting it (toward 12:00H) to your right solar plexus (positioned cover), palm forward (toward 12:00H), as you cross out and cover (toward 7:30H).
Result
The opponent’s should collapse (toward 6:00V) to the ground.
