Situation
You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H), hands slightly extended in front of your body (toward 4:30V) (toward 12:00H), with the opponent (at 12:00H) (facing 6:00H) applying direct wrist grabs to both your left and right wrists.
1a)
Circle (clockwise V) your right arm under and to the left, outside your left arm (toward 9:00H), until the backs of both your hands press together (left palm facing 9:00V) (right palm facing 3:00V), pinning both of the opponent’s hands between your hands (pressing / pinning / detaining check), in preparation for the next move.
Note: The above moves should effectively prevent the opponent from letting go of your wrists.
Tip
The circle of the above moves should be kept as small and as quick as possible.
1b)
Step forward (toward 1:00H) with your left foot into a left neutral bow (facing 12:00H) (stable base) while simultaneously pulling the opponent downward (toward 4:30V) and toward your right side (toward 5:00H).
Result: The opponent’s upper body and head should be forced forward (toward 5:00H) and downward (toward 4:30V), bending at the waist, while their right foot steps forward (toward 5:00H), in order to stabilize their base from the pull.
1c)
Deliver a left, thrusting outward back-knuckle to the opponent’s right temple area (or right face area) (toward 12:00H) (minor), simultaneously with a right, thrusting, vertical punch to the opponent’s right upper rib cage (toward 12:00H) (major).
Result
The opponent’s upper body and head should be thrust backward (toward 1:30H) and to your right (toward 3:00H), rotating (counter clockwise H) at the waist, while both hands and arms begin to attempt to cover their face rib area.
Note
The above result should approximate the opponent attempting to turn away from your advance, while attempting to cover their body and face.
2a)
Immediately, drop your left hand downward (toward 6:00V), palm down (toward 6:00V) grabbing the opponent’s upper arm (at bicep level), converting the grab into a downward (toward 6:00V) pull, forcing the opponent to continue bend at the waist and preventing their right arm and hand from covering their face. Simultaneously, step through forward with your right foot into a right transitory 45 degree cat (facing 12:00H) with a right, thrusting, vertical, back-knuckle, palm up (toward 12:00V) to the opponent’s right temple (major).
Note
The above moves should be executed as to overtake the opponent’s withdrawal.
Result
The opponent’s head and upper body should be thrust to their left (counter clockwise H), while your left hand simultaneously prevents the opponent from straighten at the waist and controls the opponent’s retreat from your advance.
2b)
Without any loss of motion from the previous moves, step through forward (toward 12:00H) (positioned cover) into a right neutral bow (facing 12:00H) with a right, thrusting, inward elbow (toward 12:00H), palm down (toward 6:00V), to the opponent’s right side of face area (major), while simultaneously maintaining your left grab to the opponent’s right arm.
Result
The opponent’s head and upper body should be further thrust to their left (counter clockwise H), while your left hand simultaneously prevents the opponent from straighten at the waist and controls the opponent’s retreat from your advance.
The opponent’s upper body and head should now be facing all the way to their left (3:00H).
3)
Shift (counter clockwise H) and settle (toward 6:00V) into a right reverse bow (facing 12:00H) with a right downward hammer fist, palm to the left (toward 9:00V), to the opponent’s right kidney area (major), while simultaneously retracting your left open hand (toward 6:00H) to your right shoulder area, palm forward (toward 12:00H) (positioned cover).
Tip
The above strike should be delivered using your right fist as the major pivot point, in order to fully anchor your elbow, while your right elbow should finish its descent (at 6:00V) aligned over your right hip, thus creating a complete vertical body alignment. Also, the above strike should be timed with the settle into your stance to increase the effectiveness of your strike (directional harmony).
Result
The opponent’s stance should be slightly destabilized, weakening at the knees, while the upper body and head should remain in their same positions.
4a)
Drag-step forward (toward 12:00H) into a right reverse bow (facing 12:00H) with a right leg buckle (toward 12:00H) to the inside of the opponent’s left leg, while maintaining your other defenses (positional cover).
Result
The opponent’s left leg should be thrust backward (toward 12:00H) fully destabilized their base, cause the opponent to begin to collapse (toward 6:00V) to the ground.
Tip
Adjust your forward step as needed to be effective for the distance of your opponent - i.e. you may only need to shuffle forward or you may need to cross-over forward in order to make the buckle effective.
4b)
Using the extension of your right leg from the previous move, spring your right foot off of the ground (toward 10:30V), delivering a thrusting, right, knee kick (toward 7:30H) to the inside of the opponent’s right thigh, while maintaining your other defenses.
Result
The opponent’s right leg should be thrust to their right (toward 7:30H), while continuing to collapse to the ground (toward 6:00V), face down (toward 6:00V).
5)
Using the motion from your previous move, cross-out and cover (7:30H).
