Situation
You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H) with your left arm at your side (toward 6:00V), while the opponent (at 12:00H) (facing 6:00H) executes a right cross wrist grab (toward 4:30H), palm down (toward 6:00V), to your right wrist, palm down (toward 6:00V).
1a)
Step forward (toward 1:00H) with your left foot into a left side horse (toward 12:00H) (stable base), while simultaneously circling your right arm (clockwise V), counter grabbing the opponent’s right outer wrist, with your right hand (toward 3:00V), followed immediately with a left downward horizontal forearm strike (toward 6:00V) to the back of the opponent’s right upper elbow area (minor).
Note
Your left stepping foot should end up to the right of the opponent’s right foot.
The circle of your right arm should be as small as possible, but large enough to allow your counter-grab to work effectively and to expose the opponent’s right elbow for the forearm strike.
The left forearm strike should be done to coincide with the settle into the horse (gravitational marriage).
Result
The opponent should be forced to bend forward (toward 3:00H) by the force of your left downward forearm, ending with the head lower than the waist.
1b)
Allow your left arm to slide off of the opponent’s right elbow and cock to your right side (toward 6:00H), palm down (toward 6:00V). Immediately, reverse the motion of your left arm to deliver a left outward elbow to the opponent’s right jaw, palm up (toward 12:00V), while simultaneously anchoring the opponent’s right arm, palm up (toward 12:00V), across your lower abdomen (opposing forces) (third hand) by bringing your right hand to your right hip, palm down (toward 6:00V).
Result
The opponent’s head should be forced backward (toward 6:00H), but the upper body should be prevented from moving by pin of the right arm across your abdomen.
2)
Deliver a left outward heel-palm (toward 6:00H), fingers downward (toward 6:00V), to the opponent’s right side of face (minor). Immediately, drop your left elbow (anchor) onto the opponent’s back (pressing check) (toward 6:00V) as you simultaneously convert your left heel palm into an upward claw (toward 12:00V) to the opponent’s face (minor) (opposing forces), palm down (toward 6:00V). Without any loss of momentum, deliver a left inward overhead elbow strike (toward 6:00V) (clockwise V) to the opponent’s spine (minor), palm facing you (toward 6:00H).
Note
The previous moves should be executed with emphasis on maintaining a downward pressure onto the opponent’s back, with the intent of preventing the opponent from standing back up (height check).
Tip
To increase the power of the elbow strike, settle (toward 6:00H) into your left neutral bow during the downward portion of the circular motion and make a left fist simultaneously with the strike's moment of contact.
Result
The opponent should remain bent over at the waist, prevented from moving by the pin of the right arm across your abdomen and the pressure onto the back with your left arm.
3)
Deliver a left downward heel-palm (toward 6:00V), palm down (toward 6:00V), to the opponent’s mastoid area (minor), simultaneously (sandwich) with a right upward knee kick (toward 6:00H) (toward 11:30V) to the opponent’s face (major) (opposing forces).
Note
The left downward heel-palm strike should executed using your left elbow as the pivot point.
Result
The opponent’s head should be sandwiched between the two strikes, immobilized.
4)
Replant your right foot back (toward 6:00H) to its original position into a left side horse (toward 12:00H), while simultaneously releasing your right hand grab to the opponent’s right wrist.
Result
The opponent should collapse to the ground (toward 6:00V), face down (toward 6:00V).
5)
Cross out and cover (toward 4:30H).
