Situation
You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H) with both of your arms at your side (toward 6:00V) with the opponent (at 6:00H) (facing 12:00H) applying a rear two hand choke to your neck and throat area.
1)
Lift (toward 12:00V) both your right and left hands to their respective shoulders, palm down (toward 6:00V) and fingers toward the neck (toward 9:00H and 3:00H respectively), grabbing both of the opponent’s hands, with your hands perpendicular to the opponent’s hands and the pinkies of your hands touching the top thumb joint of the opponent’s hands and your elbows pointing straight in front of you (toward 12:00H), pinning the opponent’s hands to your shoulders (toward 6:00V). Without any loss of motion, step your left foot to the left (toward 9:00H) into a horse (facing 12:00H) as you pull the opponent’s hands slightly forward (toward 12:00H) and diagonally down (toward 4:30V), using your elbows as the fulcrum and the hands as the pivot point, creating double thumb locks (toward 4:30V) (toward 12:00H) to the opponent’s thumb joints (minor).
Note
Anchoring your elbows, forward (toward 12:00H) and down (toward 6:00V), to different heights will vary the amount of pressure applied to the opponent’s thumb joints.
As you apply pressure to the opponent’s thumbs, you may also need to press the opponent’s hands toward your neck slightly (toward 9:00H and toward 3:00H, respectively) to prevent their hands from slipping off of your neck (toward 12:00H), in front of your body.
Result
The pressure of the opponent’s choke should be relieved and the opponent should be forced onto the tips of their toes (toward 12:00V) in and attempt to relieve the pressure from their thumb joints.
2)
Immediately, execute a right step-through reverse (toward 9:00H) into a left neutral bow (toward 3:00H) as you maintain the grab to the opponent’s hands, but allow their hands to come free of your shoulders and rotate (clockwise V), right palm up (toward 12:00V) – left palm down (toward 6:00V), in front of your body (solar plexus high), left elbow on top of right elbow (left arm toward 12:00H – right arm toward 9:00H), creating an elbow lock (toward 12:00V) to the opponent’s left arm (minor).
Note
The rotation of your stance should cause the opponent’s grab to be broken, not any motion of your hands.
Raising (toward 1:30V) (toward 3:00H) your right hand and lowering (toward 7:30V) (toward 9:00H) your left hand in opposition to one another will vary the amount of pressure applied to the opponent’s left elbow joint.
Result
The opponent’s grab should be completely broken with the opponent’s upper body bending to the right (toward 3:00H), at the waist, attempting to relieve pressure from the left elbow lock.
3)
Deliver a right thrusting front ball kick (toward 3:00H) to the opponent’s right knee (major), planting your right foot forward (toward 3:00H) (positioned cover) into a transitory right neutral bow (toward 3:00H). Immediately, settle (toward 3:00H) into a right neutral bow as your raise (toward 1:30V) and thrust your right hand forward (toward 3:00H), palm up (toward 12:00V) with the pulling (toward 9:00H) and lowering (toward 7:30V) of your left hand (opposing forces), palm down (toward 12:00V), breaking the opponent’s left elbow joint (major).
Result
The opponent’s body should be thrust toward the right (toward 3:00H) and begin to collapse (toward 6:00V).
4)
Release the grabs to the opponent’s hands, retracting (toward 9:00H) (toward 7:30V) your right arm to a vertical blocking position (positioned cover) simultaneous with the retraction (toward 9:00H) (toward 10:30V) of your left open hand to your right solar plexus (positioned cover), palm forward (toward 3:00H).
Result
The opponent should completely collapse (toward 6:00V) to the ground (body on the 3:00H – 9:00H line), face forward (toward 12:00H).
5)
Cross out and cover (toward 9:00H).
